The solution is used for the documentation and visualization of the main processes. The customers have hundreds or thousands of processes, but they start with the top 20 processes. The next step is to integrate data points or measure data points within the process to know whether this is what we wanted to design for this process. The solution is also used for process simulation to calculate if we need to add one more cashier for the checkout, which would be just an accelerated cash-out situation for the customer. With process mining, we get more detailed information about the process or the data behind or within this process.

The solution, iGrafx, is used in my company globally as a BPM solution. I use iGrafx since I am involved in process or service modeling for my company. My company uses iGrafx for web modeling and iGrafx FlowCharter's desktop version, apart from the solution's other functionalities, like iGrafx Process for Six Sigma, process governance, and process mining. We use iGrafx in our company mainly for level 4 process modeling and level three service modeling. Other teams in my company use iGrafx to identify and apply Six Sigma tools and techniques.

My primary use case of this solution is for charting the processes in relation to the ISO 9000 standard, as far as the process goes. I try to use it as extensively as I can. If I see that a process flow chart is appropriate for any documentation, I try to use that instead of writing a procedure. We are customers of iGrafx and I'm a quality manager.

I use it for a couple of things. It's mainly for plotting workflows in our organization, and we also use it as a repository for all the properties and the documents. It's also used in our approval process cycle. I'm dealing with a lot of the departments, many teams, and each team has to approve a process for themselves and share it across the company.
