I worked with Oracle Database on-premises as a developer for seven years at Sopra Banking. Later, I used Oracle Database Cloud Service together with Informatica for application and data integration, specifically with the Informatica IICS platform. During a project migration, I transferred data from other systems to Oracle, as well as from on-premises Oracle to Oracle Cloud. I used data transfer jobs, APIs, and automated data integration processes for these migrations. I mainly use relational databases, but we also work with NoSQL and non-relational data. Oracle Cloud is very strong for database management, but it’s not as comprehensive as AWS or Azure. Oracle Cloud is best suited for storing and integrating relational data, while AWS and Azure are more versatile and support more diverse workloads. For example, with AWS S3, we can store any type of data, including files and non-relational data, which is an area where Oracle Cloud is less flexible.

I use Oracle Database Cloud Service for its scalability, advanced technology, and cost-effectiveness. My clients utilize this service for its excellent price and licensing options.
