Middleware is an application that lies between multiple applications as a broker or message flowing platform. For example, if an ERP system holds the data, we do some reporting. Ideally, middleware does not handle that work, but when ERP systems require data from multiple systems, middleware comes into the picture to take the data from multiple sources and send it to multiple targets. That's where the job ends; once the data is received by the target application, they will do whatever the use case or requirement is. The main benefits I've seen from using Oracle SOA Suite arise in a large enterprise landscape where multiple applications such as Salesforce, Oracle ERP cloud, SAP, and Workday exist. In such setups, Oracle SOA Suite effectively facilitates communication between different systems. For instance, your employee payroll data should flow from Workday to Oracle ERP. Oracle SOA Suite serves as the best-fit product to eliminate point-to-point integration, consolidating this flow logic, filtering, and ensuring messages are transferred to target applications. Ultimately, the source system does not need to know whether the message reached the target.
There are a good number of integrations built on Oracle SOA Suite. These integrations include order processing, debit card and credit card payments, and integration with Paypal and Paymetric.

It's to provide access to other solutions that we can handle or solve. Clients may have other entities that they would have to use Azure as well as the VPN. Even going further and having the service migrated to ensure that they continue to see it on-site.

We primarily use this product for integrating with Salesforce and SaaS applications that our company uses for quality. We also have other legacy applications, and now, we are integrating the tool with our internal applications. We are also using Oracle B2B, which is part of SOA.
We use this solution for complex integrations between disparate systems that can be done securely, as light-weight services, automation, recovery, robust ETL options, and a lot more. Comparing with other integration products, Oracle SOA Suite, being offered by Oracle Corporation, brings along a lot of benefits like Cloud and Database features that are an integral part of their offering.
Nowadays I work for a retail company, and we deliver SOA Suíte 12c to integrate SAP Hybris REST API with legacy systems. Before, I used to work for a telecom company, and we used OSB and BPEL to integrate IVR with legacy systems.

My first application was in the planning of integral projects in a state university where we made a profile proposing the integral installation of communications, and built an edifice for the data center with a nutanix server. We created software sheltering the existing ideas, and the SOA web service facilitated this work.
