There should be a free version of it for people to learn easily so that they get adapted easily and get used to supporting the Domo community, which is something very important. The certification costs and the pricing for clients needs to be reduced a little. You need to have someone working on the back end.
I do not think there is anything that needs improvement at the moment. It is being improved continuously. They are connecting to many AI-type tools. Their pricing has recently changed to be more price-conscious. From the implementation perspective, it could possibly be a bit more streamlined.

One of the challenges I faced with ThoughtSpot is that when the team provides the TML language of every object, such as when I was creating a worksheet, it was not giving full information about which area to debug for the TML side. It also has a steep learning curve along with some UI complexities. Regarding ThoughtSpot's pricing, I didn't have to pay anything since the public version provided all necessary features for me. However, I think when considering the user-based plan, which is around $1000 per month, it is a bit costly and could be cheaper.
AI-driven insights in ThoughtSpot have not been implemented yet as our organization has not approved releasing the data to AI. This process is still pending approval. The prediction model needs improvement. While NLQ is working perfectly fine and the data understanding capabilities of ThoughtSpot are good, there is room for improvement. Compared to Oracle's DV or Microsoft Power BI, it is more advanced. However, when implementing it for finance, general ledger, profit and loss, and balance sheet applications, we faced some challenges as these areas require very accurate data.

ThoughtSpot lacks an intermediate layer for data loading, unlike Qlik, which affects dashboard stability when the database has issues. The platform also has fewer formulas and functions compared to Power BI and Qlik, limiting the creation of complex functions directly within ThoughtSpot.
There are a few areas where ThoughtSpot could improve. A crucial feature we needed is missing, which involves restricting views of certain KPIs when users select conflicting parameters. We had to create a workaround, which impacted performance by loading pinboards slowly. Disabling drill-down features without affecting sorting in tables is another issue. Also, the process to push new feature requests is lengthy and requires a lot of upvotes, even if you have dedicated support.

We'd like more flexibility with the calendar as our fiscal year does not align with the calendar year. We have to load or create our own custom calendar to actually need our fiscal year-end. With other tools, like Tableau or Power BI, it's much easier to adjust your calendars. How we get data into the solution is not the easiest. I need to rely on a partner who needs to load the data from Alteryx into ThoughtSpot. We'd like this process to be simplified. In terms of features, I'd like to be able to pivot data - for example, going from rows to columns. It's not easy to do. I really don't like that when we load data; all the names get automatically put into lowercase.
ThoughtSpot is a fairly new product, so some usability aspects aren't as mature as we'd like them to be. One example is their organizational methodology, like how objects are organized in their dashboards inside the product. They're all on a flat list, which works if you've got five or 10 dashboards. However, it's insufficient when you're a large enterprise with multiple groups looking at the same dashboards. It isn't organized well. I would also like to see more preset visualizations. They've recently introduced the build-your-own visualizations, but we don't have time to build those ourselves.

I would like to see more flexibility in adding the pins. Currently, we have four different sizes in which I can add pins, but I would like to be able to resize my pins. Additionally, when I add a pin, it goes to the bottom of the screen and I have to drag it all the way to where I want it. So I would like to have a little more flexibility in that. I would also like to have a larger color pallet. A simplistic look is important to me. I would be happy to see automatic emails for when volume falls below a certain threshold. Right now, I'm sending those out by hand. This would be a wonderful feature to have and I think they are rolling it out in the next version.

There is more flexibility in Power BI than in ThoughtSpot. In the matrices, for example, the size is very limited and the ratios are fixed. It would be better if they could be adjustable. The formatting for rows and columns separating could be more flexible. If I want to order columns, this feature is not there.

The one area of the solution that I do hear needs improvement is on the visualization front. In my mind, I'd rather just get to the data and get to the actual values or get to the thing that drives the business, but there is a certain segment of customers, particularly marketing and external facing where they want additional visualizations. They want the ability to do geospatial reporting, more maps and latitude, longitude, and things like that. From a marketing standpoint and look and feel and harmonization across your product, you want visualizations that look like your product.
