Worked on enterprise infrastructure modernization involving Red Hat OpenShift, OpenShift Virtualization, and virtual machine migration from VMware to a container-based virtualization platform.
My responsibilities included SRE operations, migration support, troubleshooting VM connectivity and guest operating system network configuration, monitoring cluster health, reviewing alerts, and coordinating with platform, network, storage, and vendor support teams.
The work focused on migration reliability, post-migration validation, incident investigation, observability improvements, and operational readiness. Troubleshooting activities included investigating network interface naming and MAC address configuration, validating connectivity after migration, and documenting technical findings and recovery procedures.
The objective was to improve migration stability, reduce operational risk, strengthen monitoring and alerting, and establish repeatable troubleshooting practices for enterprise workloads.
