As part of the NextGen TV (ATSC 3.0) Research and Development team, working as a Systems Engineer, I assist in innovating, building, and supporting the rapid expansion of the next-generation IP broadcast platform.
Responsibilities:
1) Support Sinclair’s ATSC 3 and mobile service rollouts
2) Support verification and validation testing of receivers in our lab (Mobile phones, tablets, TVs, and Gateways)
3) Develop requirements and acceptance plans for qualifying software and station equipment
4) Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, virtual machines, and management tools to keep lab servers/ broadcast air chains up to date
5) Develop, and maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies for the Lab
6) Support plug fests, interop events, and integration in the lab
7) Participate and support technology demonstrations at key events (NAB, CES, etc.)
8) Participate in standards and other industry alignment activities
9) Provide Cybersecurity Research and Development
10) Support the testing and Design efforts of Electrical and Electronics in developing the ATSC 3.0 initiative.
11) Support other ONE Media initiatives
