|---|---|---|
| Solutions Architect-Hybrid Cloud and Automation at Red Hat | 4.5 | I primarily use BlueJeans Meetings for large-scale meetings exceeding 500 participants as it excels in sound quality and user-friendliness. While lacking custom virtual backgrounds, I find it superior to Microsoft Teams and Zoom, alongside Google Meet. |
| Associate with 10,001+ employees | 4.5 | I find BlueJeans effective for meetings due to its intuitive interface, good quality, and cross-device access. However, its high cost and lack of localized pricing, especially for toll-free numbers, are major concerns when compared to competitors. |
| Cyber SOC Lead at a financial services firm with 1,001-5,000 employees | 4.0 | I find BlueJeans stable, with good audio/video and easy setup. It scales well, but lacks remote control for screen sharing and external client setup is a hurdle. |
| Chief Scrum / Delivery Manager at a tech services company with 1,001-5,000 employees | 4.5 | I find BlueJeans very user-friendly with an intuitive design, rating it 9/10. It's stable, but I'd like the screen sharing annotation feature improved. We're considering moving to Zoom. |

As per company policy, most internal meetings happen through Google Meet, but for large-scale meetings with more than 500 participants, we use BlueJeans Meetings. It's more like a broadcast meeting platform, which Google Meet doesn't allow.
The main advantage is the ability to host large meetings with up to 500 participants. The sound quality is also better on BlueJeans.
I find it pretty intuitive and user-friendly.
In future releases, I would like to see maybe customized virtual backgrounds, like Google Meet has. BlueJeans doesn't allow as much customization of your background in a video call, so that could be improved.
I have been using it for five years.
I don't use it that often, only for broadcasting, so I can't comment on the stability. We use Google Meet day-to-day for smaller meetings, and I've never seen any issues with that.
It scales to a couple of thousand users, so I don't see any challenges there.
Around 15,000 users are using it within your company
Both BlueJeans and Google Meet are fine. I would say BlueJeans is definitely better than Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
If someone is using Zoom and looking for a replacement, I would recommend BlueJeans.
The initial setup is very easy to install. The installation hardly takes two minutes.
There is no maintenance required.
We have an enterprise contract with BlueJeans through Red Hat.
Overall, I would rate the solution a nine out of ten. I would recommend using it.

We use BlueJeans only for meetings and presentations, training, and knowledge transfer sessions.
You can use bluejeans to set up a quick meeting anywhere. You I can integrate the bluejeans meeting invite into the calendar. You can allow others to start the meeting if you are running late. And people can use bluejeans across devices such as cell phones, PC tablets, etc. The audio and video quality are acceptable at low internet speeds. My team can join with options where they with Share Screen Only or view & Share Screen no audio or without audio and only participants audio and video
The view area of BlueJeans is good, and there are a lot of actions that a meeting host can take. A host can also designate someone else to conduct the meeting.
BlueJeans also provide worldwide toll-free numbers, and there is also a callback feature available. I don't use that feature, but the local toll-free numbers are very helpful because you don't have to pay anything for the meetings.
It is available in all flavors. You can use it in the browser, and you can use it on an Android phone for which a BlueJeans app is available. I use an Android phone, so I only know about Android. So, you can join a meeting from the application installed on your phone or from the mobile browser, or you can use it from a laptop or a PC.
It is quite easy to use. It is intuitive. Most of such tools are very intuitive. In the top left and top right corners, there is an icon that you can click to know what options are available. Its interface is quite easy, and the icons basically help you select the options that are available.
Its cost is very high. If you sell it in India, which is a price-conscious market, the prices should be as per the market competition. You cannot charge the rates that apply in the US. They should tailor it to the local market. It should be in line with what the competition is offering.
It has been about four and a half years. I started using it in 2017.
I never noticed any crashes or stability-related issues.
Scalability is not my concern. I'm just a user of the application. I only use it for meetings, and I don't have to see whether it is scalable or not. I'm not using the application from the delivery perspective.
No complains
Positive
We sometimes use Zoom, and we sometimes also use WebEx and Google Meet. Personally, I use Google Meet a lot because most of the customers find it very easy-to-use Google Meet, but BlueJeans and WebEx are also very good platforms.
A good feature of WebEx is that it gives you remote desktop sharing, which is a wonderful feature. If I was with a technical support company and I had to do something on my client's desktop, I could easily do it. This feature is there in BlueJeans as well, but I have never used it. Like BlueJeans, WebEx also provides a toll-free number, and it is available across the platforms.
In a country like India, WebEx and Microsoft Teams are very good. Zoom is also good, but when it comes to the interface, I like BlueJeans the most. Its interface is very easy, and it gives you the maximum view area, and that is one of the reasons I like it. You have the option to decrease the area to at least 25%, so you can customize how much screen area you would like to use. This is something I find unique in BlueJeans. Nobody else has this feature.
It is very easy. If you're using a Windows PC, the BlueJeans application is available, and you just install it. If you're using a browser, you simply need to put the meeting link. So, it gives you both options. You can either download the application and install it or directly start from the application. If it is already installed, you can use the browser itself.
We normally use the cloud version. It seems everything is maintained by them. On the Windows platform, some updates might be applicable, which Windows probably does automatically. For Android, there is always an option where whenever there is an update, it gives a notification that an update is available.
I once tried buying it for myself, but it was very costly. It is quite expensive as compared to other solutions.
The cheapest one is Google Meet, which is free, and if you want to go for a subscribed version, you can do that. It is as low as 130 rupees a month, which is almost nothing. It's like $2 per month.
With BlueJeans, there are carrier charges if you call the toll-free number. The customer doesn't pay for the call, but the buyer or the subscriber of BlueJeans has to pay for it. That is where BlueJeans becomes very costly, and that is where Google, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom are very helpful because you don't have to pay these charges.
No, I just started using it since my client gave to me. After that I tried with Zoom, Teams and WebEx
BlueJeans is a very good tool. If a company has a very large network, and more than 100 or 200 users are joining a web conference, BlueJeans is a very good tool. I have never experienced quality issues with the voice or video, but it is costly.
I would rate it a nine out of 10.
We primarily use BlueJeans for internal communication because it would require our clients to perform some setup. There is a small application that needs to be downloaded and most of our clients don't have it pre-installed on their computers.
The performance is good.
The quality of both audio and video is good.
Screen sharing is available but there is no feature for remote access, to take control of another machine. This is something that should be added.
I have been using BlueJeans Meetings for three years.
This product is very stable and I use it four or five times every day.
We began with a small number of users and it has increased. We found that it was easy to scale.
I have never been in contact with technical support.
I have used other video conferencing solutions such as Zoom and Webex. I can't say that I am really familiar with the differences between them because I only use these other products about once per week.
BlueJeans Meetings is very easy to set up. It is integrated with Outlook and you just have to select your participants for it to automatically populate the main body of your email. All you have to do is select the time.
I deployed this solution without any assistance.
My advice for anybody who is considering this product is to first try joining a meeting using the phone. It is easy to set up and you can see the quality.
I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
I use multiple features.
me haven't had any big challenges. In terms of additional features, Blue jeans need to focus on screen sharing sub-feature more robust and easy, to be precise, Highlighting or draw attention to teh things like point out teh specific place of teh content that TEMPhas be shared - Probably this functionality should be improved for example while screen sharing in Slack call - anyone one can highlight or point out on teh screen.
me has been using BlueJeans for six months.
It is stable. me very rarely experience crashes, it's predominantly stable.
Scalability is good.
me never reached out to technical support.
We are leaning towards moving to Zoom.
It is really easy and their are no complicated graphics or icons. It is simple and TEMPhas an intuitive design. It's user-friendly over anything else me TEMPhas used.
me would rate it a nine out of ten. me would like to see an enhancement for teh annotation feature so me can quickly point to a location.
