What is our primary use case?
Usual use cases for Cynet involve protecting the endpoints, as it covers files, hosts, users, and networks. All these vectors are covered by Cynet in its XDR platform, and we also offer an MDR service on top of the XDR to all our customers who have subscribed for this platform.
What is most valuable?
Cynet's real-time threat detection has helped reduce risks for our organization overall. Cynet's centralized control feature is very user-friendly, has a good user interface, and is very convenient, requiring hardly one or two people to manage the entire console, which is not resource-heavy and automates many processes, making it very easy to use without alert fatigue due to low false positives.
Autonomous Breach Protection has helped us mitigate threats proactively by being highly automated, requiring very few people to manage it for forensics and investigation due to its low false positive rate, which is less than 1.3%, and it doesn't consume much memory, making it light on the endpoints.
Cynet is the only platform in the industry in the endpoint XDR that meets all steps of the MITRE ATT&CK framework, scoring on all 143 odd steps, with a false positive rate of less than 1.3%. Cynet's machine learning algorithms are very effective in adapting to new threats.
What needs improvement?
I'm not the right person to identify areas for improvement; my technical folks can provide that insight. They are developing interfaces to pull logs from various types of firewalls, which is a work in progress.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been working with Cynet since 2019.
What was my experience with deployment of the solution?
The deployment was straightforward; my colleagues did not encounter any issues or challenges.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Cynet is highly reliable and very stable. Within six years of usage, we have not had any issues such as outages or downtime.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Cynet is highly scalable. We can deploy Cynet for 50,000 users, and we have deployed it at that scale, with the capability to scale higher to 100,000 users without any challenges.
How are customer service and support?
My experience with the technical support of Cynet is excellent; they are just one click away. Whenever there is a need for detailing, my technical folks find them very user-friendly and have a good experience in terms of support.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Before Cynet, we used a product called Comodo a long time back. We decided to switch from Comodo to Cynet because we found Cynet much better.
How was the initial setup?
I didn't participate in the initial setup and deployment of Cynet, but my colleagues did.
What was our ROI?
The return on investment with Cynet is pretty good, as it doesn't require a dedicated resource to manage, being highly automated, and our experience at the endpoint level has been very positive with no issues so far. Cynet is very affordable; I consider it a very affordable tool.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We did evaluate other vendors apart from Cynet; we looked at the options available in 2019 before ultimately choosing Cynet. The options we evaluated were different vendors, but Cynet was a more complete solution that was also affordable and allowed us to expand our business. We chose Cynet because it was a more complete solution, affordable, and it was an XDR, which is why we are happy about it.
What other advice do I have?
I have been working with EPP, XDR, SIEM, and UEBA, and we have solutions in those areas that we have been selling to our customer base.
For our daily tasks, we use Cynet for endpoint protection, Netskope for cloud CASB, and Check Point for email security. These are some of the products we are using in-house.
I am the co-founder at VinkaCyber, focused on the sales and business side. My partners and their team evaluate, sell, implement, and support the customer.
I rate Cynet a 10 out of 10.
