In my company, we use HPE ConvergedSystem since it provides servers.

The most valuable feature of the solution is the integration of the tool with other HPE solutions is good, especially since we use HP Data Protector for data backup. The product's integration with storage devices is also a good feature allowing you to save your work in the storage.

The tool has shortcomings in its performance monitoring part. The product should offer better performance monitoring to users.

I have been using HPE ConvergedSystem for four years. The solution is due for an update. I am a user of the solution.

Stability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

I won't say it's not a very stable tool, but it has some issues considering how we configured it in our organization.

It is a solution that we could expand in our company. Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

Our company has 400 users, all of whom have used it at one point or the other. All of the departments are involved in the usage of the tool.

The solution's technical support was good. I rate the technical support a ten out of ten.

I used a Cisco product in the past and am currently unsure if the product is still produced.

The initial setup was okay.

The solution is deployed on-premises.

It wouldn't be fair to comment on the time taken for deployment because we have very strict change management, so it would take us weeks and months to get a deployment done.

The implementation phase was done with help from some professional third-party services.

There are some extra costs in addition to the licensing costs for the yearly maintenance from professional third-party services.

Our company has on-site personnel, including engineers, and then support from professional third-party service involving three engineers.

I would recommend HPE ConvergedSystem to other users.

Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

I use HPE ConvergedSystem for my company's clients and to cater to their requirements. The use cases related to the product change for me depending on the requirements of our company's clients.

The most valuable features of the solution are the flexibility and the availability of the machines.

Pricing is an area of concern in the solution where improvements are required.

I have been using HPE ConvergedSystem for more than five years. I operate as a consultant for HPE. I use the solution's latest version.

The solution can be described as a robust product. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

Scalability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

The initial setup process was neither easy nor difficult, as it is somewhere in the middle, but at times, it is difficult to make certain decisions. The availability of the product is high.

The deployment model of the product is chosen depending on the requirements of the customers, but our company does sea consultancy to figure out what the advantages and disadvantages of both deployment models are. The discussions mostly led my company to opt for a hybrid cloud deployment model.

It doesn't take more than two days to complete if the installation is only for a couple of systems, or else if there are multiple ways to decide, then the installation part depends on the rate type.

My company's clients who use the solution have experienced a return on investment from the use of the product.

I rate the product price an eight and a half on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive.

I rate the overall product a seven out of ten.

I do the evaluation based on my requirements. And whatever product scores high during that time, I get my order for that.

The current environment is all about the experience. The best user experience is something I as a decision maker look forward to. Because that brings the value of my service to my internal customers.

It depends on what my business requirements are, what I'm evaluating at that point in time, and what HP provides. So, it will be difficult for me to pinpoint a couple of times because that changed from situation to situation.

So if I'm evaluating the server, what kind of technologies HP is mileaging over the other competitors makes a difference. So sometimes processes, performance, sometimes memory available space, the hyper-converged, and these are the certain things when it comes to the enterprise level product. When it comes to the endpoint, it depends upon the user experience that HP provides.

There is room for improvement in support.

I have been using this product for several years now. It has been approximately 30 years. 

It is a stable product.

Mainly, it is an enterprise-level product that I'm using. It is a scalable product. 

I have found a reasonable amount of people using it because we are an enterprise business. 

It's good. There is some scope for improvement. The response time could be better.

Most of the HP products I come across are they are easy to install. That's not very complex. HPE provides adequate support for that.

Deployment does not take more than a week to implement this product. Moreover, maintenance has to be a collaboration between the internally done resources to maintain that system.

Five to six people are required for maintenance.

The pricing is competitive. Not a major problem. We have a subscription model.

We pay only for the subscription, no extra costs. 

I compared it with Dell. I compared it with IBM. HPE scored high on my parameters when we were comparing. Some features were available in HPE that are not available in other vendors.

Do your evaluation. Don't fall for the marketing hype. Identify the requirements that your business is really looking for rather than relying solely on the statements from the product providers.  

Overall, I would rate the solution an eight out of ten.

HPE ConvergedSystem is highly efficient for large-scale system replacements in virtual environments. 

The most valuable features of HPE ConvergedSystem are scalability and resilience. The ability to easily scale resources and redistribute workloads across multiple hosts has been crucial for handling varying workloads and ensuring high availability. This flexibility proves especially beneficial during incidents or when performing tasks like loading containers or applying patches, as it allows me to seamlessly shift workloads to different hosts, enhancing overall system reliability and performance.

HPE ConvergedSystem could be enhanced by improving the built-in backup solution, as the current one fell short of our needs and led us to opt for third-party tools like Veeam. Additionally, addressing challenges related to remote copy functionality, especially in low-bandwidth conditions, would significantly improve the overall usability and effectiveness of HPE solutions in our setup.

I have been using HPE ConvergedSystem since 2017.

I would rate the stability as a nine out of ten. We have experienced very few issues, and any problems, like an Xfinity issue, were quickly resolved within 24 hours.

I would rate the scalability as a nine out of ten. We have five people in total using the solution at my company.

I give HPE a perfect ten for technical support. They always respond promptly, and I appreciate their proactive approach, addressing issues even before I notice them. The communication and assistance have been excellent.

I would rate the easiness of the initial setup of HPE ConvergedSystem as a seven out of ten. Initially, when the solution was introduced, an HPE engineer worked closely with me and guided the setup. Since then, I have been managing the environment independently, even handling capacity expansions with minimal assistance. The deployment time of the solution varies based on workload and specific needs. In my experience, with storage and six running systems, a well-planned deployment usually takes about one week for a smooth setup.

In terms of price, I would say the solution is on the expensive side. It is not a cheap option, but I believe the value reflects the quality of the product and the benefits it brings.

My advice for new users is to highlight the reliability of HPE ConvergedSystem. Once set up and configured accurately, it offers stability and security. Emphasize the importance of a thorough setup for a trouble-free experience. Understand the system's features and assure them that, once correctly configured, you can relax and confidently manage your workloads. Overall, I would rate the solution as a nine out of ten.

We use the solution for DDI. 

HPE ConvergedSystem needs to improve its management. I would like the tool to add cloud management features so that the system can be accessed anywhere from the cloud. 

I have been using the product for four years. 

I would rate the tool's stability a ten out of ten. I have not experienced any form of downtime. 

I would rate HPE ConvergedSystem's scalability a nine out of ten. My company has roughly 60 users for the solution. 

Support is free and depends on the contract team. It is really good.

We work sometimes with Dell since some customers prefer it. Mostly we work with HPE ConvergedSystem. 

The tool's deployment is very straightforward and takes around half an hour to complete. 

You can get impressive ROI figures if you have more than 50 users. 

My company has a five year contract for HPE ConvergedSystem. The contracts depend on companies and sometimes it can be three years. The solution is worth its price.  

I would like to rate the product a nine out of ten. HPE ConvergedSystem is very much on top of the game. We need to update the solution whenever there is a new firmware update. We require two people to handle the product's maintenance. The solution is flexible and easily manageable. 

The tool's most valuable features are stability and scalability. 

HPE ConvergedSystem needs to improve its price.

You need four resources to complete the deployment. Our deployment took two weeks to one month to complete. It is straightforward.

It's a great solution that is very secure, and very easy to configure.

The storage, BladeSystems, Virtual Connect, and simplicity with hyper-converged solutions are the most valuable features of this solution.

When compared with SAP ERP, HPE is easier to deploy to their VMware solutions.

HPE ConvergedSystems integrates well.

We don't have any issues with the interface.

HPE ConvergedSystems doesn't upgrade as often as other solutions. For example, I have had to change the infrastructure several times for our customers who have SAP, they have gone from P4000 to P6000.

We are currently migrating our customers to SAP S/4HANNA. Their infrastructure has a five-year lifespan. After five years, they need to change it. They now have a new CEO, CFO, and CIO, and the new customers want to try new things.

Perhaps they will change the infrastructure. This firm has many customers with new CIOs and CDxOs, and they are considering changing their infrastructure. The infrastructure is better with what they currently have, but with new people, they want to look at other possibilities.

I would like to see monitoring solutions included, as well as brand support.

Customers' infrastructures must be supported at all times. In Colombia, for example, we meet many customers who have different brands, such as Dell, IBM, or HPE, which is either their headquarters or a branch. However, each branch has a single point of contact and a single support provider. The customer prefers to deal with only one branch and one support representative. I recommend that HPE provide support for various brands and Dell products.

I have been working with HPE ConvergedSystem for 15 years. I started to use this solution in 2007.

Our customers have two sites, and it is deployed on-premises as well as to third-party solutions for a third-party company.

Customers can scale up very easily.

HPE ConvergedSystem technical support is good, but they could do better in supporting other brands that customers have included in their infrastructure.

I have experience with several IT solutions such as HP, Dell, and Nutanix.

A warranty is provided to the customer. The customer can install the Enterprise ERP solution easily and has a good warranty, which includes HP's factory warranty and other conditions.

The pricing is sensitive.

The hybrid solution with Amazon, Google, and Azure, are hybrid solutions that the customers are considering.

Customers have evaluated other large brands similar to HPE, and believe that HPE SimpliVity or HPE Nimble can be the solution.

I would rate HPE ConvergedSystem a nine out of ten.

We primarily use the solution for recovery and backup purposes.

Even we could not restore some of our systems by using some conventional methods. Instead of using the SimpliVity backup and restore methods, we can easily restore our data without any risk. That is the advantage of these systems.

The flexibility is the most advantageous aspect of the solution. Our system has a very big environment. Due to this, the replication and backup operation is not an easy task. We prefer HPE SimpliVity modules in our environment, even when we have some different cases in operations.

So far we have been very comfortable with these kinds of devices.

In terms of our HPE ConvergedSystem, currently we use Gen8 Blade Systems and HPE c7,000 chassis in our environment. We have a three-part 7400 module in our environment. We also have StoreOnce 6000 models here for backing up our operating systems. Currently, we have problems with the HPE StoreOnce module in regards to the backup operations. This is because sometimes we can lose our backup reports storage from the Veeam side. We checked this issue on the HPE side and it was suggested to us to use the catalyst model instead of a 6-sharing model. They say that this approach can solve our issues easily, but we are still testing to see if this is the case.

Full flash systems require high utilization of the application. Due to this, HPE changed their systems into full flash modules. Currently, we use inbuilt modules in our environment. These kinds of modules require fast disks and SSD disks, but SSD disks are generally used for the caching of operations. The majority of our data is located on the fast disk. Due to this, sometimes we experience some ancillary issues. 

The solution needs to add NFS features.

I've been using the solution for eight years.

Currently, we do not have enough experience regarding the full flash system's efficacy. We have new projects and we still have the old SimpliVity nodes. We have some POCs in the works in our environment.

In terms of scalability, these types of devices are very successful in expanding. This is due to the fact that you can expand simply by adding nodes and changing the size of the storage. It's easy.

HPE is very good in terms of providing assistance as required. We do not have any issues with the support side of this device. We're quite satisfied with their level of service.

We tested EMC with three ACI systems in our environment. As far as I remember, we put our exchange systems on the environment. However, they failed. We tested Nutanix's Systems in our environment as well. Both of these were tested in our environment quite a long time ago.

HPE pricing is generally high for these devices. Using HPE Servers in the SimpliVity module, it should in theory be possible to decrease pricing to a reasonable amount. However, at the moment, the pricing remains high.

Most of our landscape is HPE products at the moment. We also have an EMC Backup Appliance in our environment. Currently, we have HPE Blade in our environment. We are thinking of changing all of these products. At the end of this year, we'll probably target HPE Synergy Systems hardware in our environment. Some of the projects require unified storage on our environment due to this. We prefer a storage model, like EMC.

Currently, we also use the HPE Converged Systems. We have SimpliVity nodes in our environment. We use these nodes for most systems, but we are currently having some difficulties in terms of IO utilization issues. We will probably change the systems to SL systems.

In our current situation, HPE still suggests to use the new HPE SimpliVity System in our environment, however, there are some difficulties with the implementation of this project. The project requires NFS sharing on the ACI side. 

In terms of advice to others considering the solution, with the implementation of the systems, the networking connections and VLAN settings can be done by VSAT. It would make the implementation of this kind of device simpler. New users may need to add some sort of storage access like NFS. I don't know whether putting in another controller into these devices would help. The virtualization platform can be run on a different controller.

I would caution that a user needs to calculate their IOPS and utilization size very well. If the application requires intensive party access and if they are not in the scope of the application of the SimpliVity devices, the entire application requires the IO of the hard disk located on the SimpliVity.

It's important to run a POC before implementing any application on this kind of ACI system. ACI systems cannot be addressed by every general application. You have to know your application and know your application requirements, and test your application requirements on each appliance. Then, you can proceed to the production environment on the ACI side. Sometimes your application may not be suitable for the ACI systems.

I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

In Chile, most of our customers use VMware to virtualize several machines and make their hardware more efficient.

This is an expensive solution and could be improved with lower pricing. 

We have used this solution for 12 years. 

This is a stable solution. 

This is a scalable solution. Our customers begin with an initial configuration and later add more servers, memory and other options to meet the demands of increased processing.

The customer service for this solution is good.

The initial setup is straightforward. We received the necessary training and the manuals are very clear and easy to follow. 

I would advise those considering this solution to ensure they begin with the correct sizing and configuration. If the configuration is oversized, they will pay a high price for features they do not use. If the configuration is undersized, they may not have all their needs met. 

I would rate this solution an eight out of ten. 

We find the deduplication and compression features to be most valuable, as well as that of the backup solution inside.

Features that should be addressed concern the HPE functionality and the interaction with VMware. We would also like to see additional website functionality, because the surfeit of those who come online makes the addition of complete information challenging.

We have been using HPE ConvergedSystem for several months. 

The technical support is French approved  and transpires in this language, which works for us. So, too, we share the same work hours with those of technical support and they are adaptable to our schedule.

All of the activity concerning the initial setup was complex, as we are obliged to coordinate it with HP support.

I rate the solution a six or seven out of ten.
