We use the solution for customer information data quality.
What is our primary use case?
How has it helped my organization?
We had many duplicates originating from different source systems. We were able to match and deduplicate a significant amount of data. Additionally, we could synchronize and write back the latest information to the systems that were out of sync, ensuring they had the most recent data. As a result, we could write back and update the source systems.
What is most valuable?
Ibi Data Quality offers numerous prebuilt data quality plans that can be reused for various data cleansing tasks. Additionally, it provides a variety of prebuilt match and merge rules for performing master data management,
What needs improvement?
Their data governance portal can be improved. It lacks data governance-related features. Also, PII and anomaly detection could be valuable use cases for ibi. Adding these features would be a great enhancement.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using ibi Data Quality for four years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The product is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
We've processed several thousand or even millions of records and haven't encountered any issues. It is scalable. There are about five superusers and about 40 regular users. It is suitable for all kinds of businesses.
We tenfolded our data volume. However, the hardware requirements and sizing were adequately prepared to handle this increase, and the system ran smoothly. Although it took a bit more time than initially anticipated to deal with just ten percent of the current data points, the system handled the tenfold increase effectively.
How are customer service and support?
They have different tiers of support. Whenever we contact them, they respond within the SLA.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is straightforward and takes 45 minutes to complete.
I rate the initial setup a nine out of ten, where one is difficult, and ten is easy.
What was our ROI?
Many issues related to incorrect data, such as mailing to the wrong addresses or contacting customers through outdated communication channels, have been fixed. Operationally, we are more cohesive in terms of matching data. They introduced a data management lifestyle to the organization, enabling us to perform data governance better.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
There is an upgrade to the existing version, where a different license could be used, but we have a perpetual license.
I rate the product’s pricing a three out of ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive.
What other advice do I have?
For the on-prem solution, we installed a package on the web server. This package included web-based tools and development tools, which were Eclipse-based toolsets. These tools allowed us to design the data model and develop data quality plans. It was an Eclipse-based plugin or an Eclipse-based desktop app. As part of the implementation, we used both of these tools.
Increasing internal knowledge about using the tool and providing the right resources for data profiling would give the entire team a good start.
Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
