What is our primary use case?



We are using Katalon Test Ops for script creation and execution.


What is most valuable?



Katalon Test Ops has AI features that speed up the process by automating tasks that would otherwise be done manually. It can integrate with different applications and is user-friendly. One notable AI feature is the self-healing capability, which automatically corrects failed scripts, solving problems in less than five minutes and improving the quality of code.


What needs improvement?



The execution module of Katalon Test Ops may need some improvement, especially when running a high volume of test scripts.


What do I think about the stability of the solution?



We encountered issues before, but Katalon Test Ops resolved them by improving our monthly capacity for test runs without a significant cost increase.

For high volumes, the execution module of Katalon Test Ops might need attention.

Katalon Test Ops is priced averagely. While there are cheaper or even free options available, they do not match the quality provided by Katalon Test Ops.

We evaluated SmartBear and another tool related to testing. SmartBear and the other solution were not user-friendly compared to Katalon Test Ops.

I would rate Katalon Test Ops an eight out of ten.

Valuable integration supports existing setups

What is our primary use case?



Before this, I used only the free version, like the free ones. Unfortunately, it does not really cover all the scenarios in Katalon.


What is most valuable?



I noticed that only the enterprise version has integration with GitHub.


What needs improvement?



The free version is limited. 

Maybe Katalon can include AI tools for automation.


What do I think about the stability of the solution?



There are stability troubles. My area does not have a good connection. That's why sometimes I face issues.


How are customer service and support?



I didn't reach out to the support team.


How was the initial setup?



I just downloaded the solution from the Katalon website. Since Office Desktop needs some configuration for information, it's a bottleneck if I need to compute all the information or integration. For every installation on our laptop, we need to contact IT support to key in the admin credentials.


Which other solutions did I evaluate?



I am aware of other tools. Compared to different tools, Katalon is user-friendly.


What other advice do I have?



I tried a few apps this year. I am looking for automation tools that link to GitHub. I noticed that only the enterprise version has integration with GitHub. A GitLab is already available. 

The latest version is more focused on job automation using AI, however, I don't know how it works. 

It's more user-friendly as a solution. It is easy to understand. 

I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.
