It offers a valuable feature that caters to the needs of many organizations. It's particularly useful for management and decision-makers who require concise and informative insights about their organization's activities and user demographics. It provides comprehensive reports, including predefined templates tailored for compliance requirements, making it easier to present detailed information to customers. These reports help organizations effectively convey their current status and user profiles, offering a convincing overview of their operations.
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature of Netskope is its advanced analytics, and the reporting functionality is exceptionally impressive. Creating reports for customer presentations could be a time-consuming process involving data extraction from sources like Arode DataNaxle, followed by crafting PowerPoint presentations, charts, and data representation. Netskope streamlines this process with its behavioral metrics. They offer predefined templates that can be used or customized to fit specific needs. This simplifies report creation based on user behavior, saving a significant amount of time.
What needs improvement?
Netskope could benefit from enhancements in its scripting capabilities. While they offer numerous predefined templates, there are instances where customers may require customized templates to meet specific requirements. Creating these templates often involves scripting, which can include algorithms and logical expressions. Many end-users and customers may not possess the necessary knowledge to develop these scripts, making it challenging. Netskope could consider implementing a user-friendly interface with a 'pick and choose' option that allows users to select and configure components from existing templates, making the customization process more accessible.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with it for two years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I would rate it eight out of ten. The reason for this rating is that there's room for improvement in terms of scripting and customizing reports. Many reports are required to meet specific customer needs, and it would be beneficial to have the capability to tailor reports based on various use cases. Some customers may need email-related reports, while others may require tech-related reports. Currently, these reports often require modification and manual publishing in the portal. Enhancing this aspect would enable easier report selection and customization for different customers, reducing the need for report creation from scratch.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The scalability of the system is remarkably smooth and efficient. It's more than satisfactory.
How are customer service and support?
I have had limited opportunities to interact with this team, perhaps once or twice, but those interactions have been positive, and I'm content with their work. Sometimes, customers request new features or unique report types, and it's reassuring to know that the Netskope team takes these requests seriously. Their engineering team actively works on these enhancements, and it's a commendable aspect of their service. They manage to introduce these new features within a quarter, which is a quick and effective response to customer needs.
How was the initial setup?
It's quite user-friendly, especially for individuals with previous experience and understanding. For new users or those unfamiliar with the domain, it can be a bit challenging initially. The platform is unique and different from what they might have encountered before, but once they become accustomed to it, it becomes more user-friendly.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I don't have the exact pricing details, but in discussions with colleagues, customers, and partners, I got different opinions on it. Pricing largely depends on the specific customer. Some believe that for smaller customers, the cost may be perceived as high, while for medium or enterprise-level customers, the pricing appears to be more in line with industry norms.
What other advice do I have?
I would rate the experience with it a seven out of ten because some of the Netskope agents occasionally install updates or enable new features without prior customer notification. While this has only occurred once or twice, it would be beneficial if they consistently informed customers in advance about upcoming feature introductions and their associated benefits.
