What is our primary use case?
I use
NVIDIA Mellanox mostly for data center infrastructures. It is used for AI data center infrastructure and primarily focuses on the networking part.
What is most valuable?
The biggest advantage is that the vendor is the only one providing no-drop traffic. The performance and price are competitive, and performance is high. I mostly use BGP EVPN and VXLAN features for data centers.
What needs improvement?
Sometimes, it can have some bugs from the past if I am an old user. However, it is stable now. I think it's okay; it's the best solution for now for AI data centers. Support could be better, but customers need us due to this sometimes.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using
NVIDIA Mellanox for about five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I would rate it a seven because the old versions were not stable, but it is becoming stable over time.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I would not rate it a ten because not all products are a ten. However, I can say maybe eight.
How are customer service and support?
I rate support as seven. It could be better, but I don’t want that because customers need us because of this sometimes.
How would you rate customer service and support?
How was the initial setup?
Regarding installation, it can be difficult for some network engineers because some Linux knowledge is needed.
What about the implementation team?
Usually, one engineer would be enough to handle it, but sometimes more people might be needed for installation.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing is competitive. For its performance, it's cheaper, so I would rate it a four if cheaper is lower.
What other advice do I have?
I rate the overall solution an eight.
