| System Analyst at Isospeed Group | 5.0 | I primarily use Quest Recovery Manager for Active Directory for quick backups and restores, particularly in disaster scenarios and accidental deletions. Its flexibility is invaluable, but compatibility with new endpoint protection solutions needs improvement due to occasional antivirus conflicts. |

We have a reliable Active Directory backup now. We know that in case of disaster or mistakes we can easily recover single objects or the entire forest.
The flexibility really is the most valuable feature. You can set different backup schedules and retentions, store backup data in different locations, et cetera.
The product should be more compatible with the last generation endpoint protection solutions (antivirus).
Many times the RMAD agent jobs were blocked by the client antivirus.
I've used the solution for almost three year.
Once configured it works fine. We haven't experienced problems so far.
The product is absolutely scalable. You can have many different libraries where you can store the backups. You can also have more RMAD servers and agents.
Technical support is wonderful! They care about the customer providing feedback and the solution itself.
Positive
We used a traditional backup solution before. The restore operation wasn't as easy as with RMAD.
The initial deployment is not really straightforward. It takes time to understand the product and define the strategy.
We implemented it directly through Quest support.
It's not a cheap product, however, it's doing a really good job and it's like an assurance for your Active Directory.
I don't know other solutions.
