I use the solution in my company to manage the payroll system for multiple countries, including in the APAC region and Europe. For the US, we use a different system of ADP and don't use GlobalView Payroll.

| Associate Director at Raytheon Technologies | 3.5 | I use ADP GlobalView Payroll to manage payroll in multiple countries excluding the US. Its features are based on SAP's HR system. While effective, the ADP ESS portal needs improvement. ADP GlobalView stands out for global payroll management. |
| Payroll Analyst at Cisco | 4.5 | I use ADP GlobalView Payroll for efficient payroll processing, appreciating its speed and ability to handle our entire payroll needs. However, generating reports can be slow for large companies. We've seen improved efficiency and reduced employee turnover since implementation. |
| Business/Systems Analyst at a transportation company with 5,001-10,000 employees | 3.0 | I use ADP for payroll; it's good for simple, static systems. However, projects take longer because ADP manages everything, incurring extra costs. I rate it six out of ten. |

I use the solution in my company to manage the payroll system for multiple countries, including in the APAC region and Europe. For the US, we use a different system of ADP and don't use GlobalView Payroll.
Users can look at ADP GlobalView Payroll from a system point of view. It is nothing but a SAP system. ADP has taken some licenses from SAP, giving ADP an option to customize some configuration parts, but GlobalView Payroll is nothing but an SAP system for HR processes.
From a system point of view, I can't comment on what requires improvement in the product because, at the end of the day, it is a SAP system. Whatever SAP offers is what ADP can offer. As an end user for any payroll administrator, I can say that operating on ADP GlobalView Payroll is as good as operating on an SAP system. The portal where employees log in to check their weekly tax statements is called ADP ESS, an area where improvements are needed. Some additional features can be enabled for employees in ADP ESS.
I have been using ADP GlobalView Payroll for fifteen years. I use the solution's latest version. I am a customer of the product.
Stability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
When dealing with regular payroll operations with the help of the product, users may not face challenges. Outages occur, but that happens only during plant outage scenarios.
Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a six out of ten.
With ADP GlobalView Payroll, if I have to scale up the operations, one of the practical challenges I would like to highlight here is that in the post-implementation phase, if there are any new system enhancements or customization requests, it takes a lot of time to work with ADP to implement such changes. In the present time, every business has to operate in an agile manner, but I think that when it comes to the area revolving around change and control, there is a cost involved in ADP, and it comes as part of ADP's global contract. Most of the time, users may find that the prices quoted are not reasonable to justify the efforts involved from ADP's end.
Most of the companies that fall under the category of Fortune 100 use ADP GlobalView Payroll, especially in the APAC region and Europe. The good thing with ADP GlobalView Payroll is that its system can be integrated with any HR system, like Workday or SAP SuccessFactors, since the integration is very seamless because many companies use global HR systems.
After our company underwent a natural transformation, we implemented ADP GlobalView Payroll since multiple business units connected with our organizations were running on some legacy systems and were more country-specific.
It is very important to know what falls under the scope of ADP when implementing or when a user engages with ADP and what does not. ADP has two models, one of which is used to process payrolls, and the other one is where the system is given to the client, who uses it to process the payrolls. If any technical support is needed, users must reach out to ADP. When users get into the area where they allow ADP to process the payroll, they need to keep in mind that the tool's scope is very limited. ADP processes the payroll in the system, which will then generate and share the report, and any employee queries will not fall under the scope of ADP. Certain administrative areas will be followed in terms of statutory reporting when there is a need to launch the services offered by ADP for any country, making it an additional scope for ADP to deal with, which will come at an additional cost for its users. Even when ADP GlobalView Payroll processes the payroll part for a company, the score is very limited. If you give payroll data to GlobalView Payroll in ADP's own format, which is called SSL template, the product will take your data and upload the data, run and process the payroll, download the report, and then send it back to the client. Our company still has to do a lot of validation to ensure that the payroll results and calculations are accurate.
ADP GlobalView Payroll is an SAP system. In our company, we have SAP applications installed on our systems, so ADP GlobalView Payroll is not deployed on a cloud but on an SAP system to which we have access. I think the ADP servers are located in France.
The time required to deploy the solution depends on the scope since every country has its own fiscal year. In any country, if users decide to go live with the product at the start of the fiscal year, the efforts will be less. If I have to take the example of Singapore, where there is a need for people to deal with a bad and complex payroll, and if they decide to go live with the tool in the month of January, considering that the workforce of such a business is of less than 2,000 employees, the tool's deployment phase may take around six months.
If users consider the license of the solution, then it is an expensive tool.
ADP is only one of the few companies that offers the capability to help with the management of global payroll.
My company chose ADP GlobalView Payroll since it has a good presence in the market and uses an SAP system. When it comes to the global payroll, there are very limited players in the market, and ADP comes to the top of the list of the best tools.
In terms of the system, I would say it is a tool that offers compliance. The payroll processing part is always seamless, and anything that I have to change would fall under ADP's services and on the basis of how they manage the client account.
If someone wants a good payroll system with a good presence in the APAC region and Europe, then without a doubt, ADP GlobalView Payroll falls at the top of the list of best tools.
I rate the overall tool a seven out of ten.

I use ADP GlobalView Payroll in my company for pretty much all the payroll processing. I work in the area of our company's stock process and equity, and in the last year, I dealt with over a billion dollars of equity compensation that were processed through payroll as well, so I handle a lot of such scenarios with all types of stuff available in the market.
The most valuable feature of the solution is definitely the payroll processing module because it's very quick since you don't have to wait for ADP to do some stuff from the product's end. You can process the payroll process pretty quickly and handle everything in-house and within the company. You can process general ledger files through ADP GlobalView Payroll while taking care of additional areas like your tax files. ADP GlobalView Payroll is pretty much capable of handling 100 percent of the payroll process. ADP does process the tax returns. With ADP GlobalView Payroll, a lot of things are easy to manage, like downloading some quarterly files and some of the other reports that you can get out of it, which is great.
With big companies, it takes a long time to run when it comes to the reporting part. Our company notified ADP to see if there is a way to get reports to run quicker, but it is something related to the volume, as sometimes you have to run it in the background. The aforementioned process could help a bit to get the report in the format you need when you run it in the background, so you have to do some maneuvering with it to get to the good stuff.
I have been using ADP GlobalView Payroll since 2021. My company is a customer of ADP.
Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.
Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.
There are around 30 users of the solution in Canada and the US.
I had to contact the technical support team of the product due to some issues with the configuration part. The solution has a lot of configuration, including setting up part of new wage types in the product, for which you have to contact ADP. The reports running in the solution pop out on those who work on it because the air company deals with a lot of data in a day. The reasons to contact the technical support team were related to some common areas and not something huge. In our company, if we had to get something configured and involve ADP's technical support team for it, then they would have been good enough to help us. There were some issues we faced in our company with ADP's technical support since they don't always respond promptly, but I believe that it is because they have so many clients to contact them. Moreover, ADP may not want to hire too many people to work in the technical support team.
I rate the technical support a seven out of ten.

In our company, we were using a system that was 25 years old. My company went through a big system transformation and went for Oracle and Workday on the HR side, and on the payroll side, we went for ADP GlobalView Payroll.
Earlier in my company, we were using ADP - Businesspro, which has been around for 20 years in the market, which makes it a really old product. The previous company where I was working used to use ADP Enterprise HR, which is not software. I do have some prior experience with SAP Financial Management Software, but it was not useful for payroll management. The reason my company switched from some of the old products to ADP GlobalView Payroll was because there was a for more automated processes.
The product's initial setup phase was easy. You need to have some knowledge and experience to take care of the product's initial setup phase. ADP GlobalView is a tool that works like SAP Engine, which is a complex system. It is good to have some prior ADP GlobalView experience because, even for me, during the product's implementation phase, the company had to bring in a consultant to our company's site. Our company had consultants from ADP's side, but then we hired a consultant from our end who had around 30 years of ADP GlobalView experience and had dealt with a bunch of implementations and complex configurations in GlobalView. If you don't know what you are doing, then you will make a mistake, so our company brought in somebody with a lot of experience who helped us with the project. ADP GlobalView Payroll is one of the systems that, if you are implementing in your environment, you need to have prior experience with or at least have experience with SAP.
Right now, we use ADP GlobalView Payroll in our company with the help of a web-based SAP GUI. Our company is presently looking at the internet interface, which is similar to the cloud, but it's not as streamlined as it should be and has had some challenges in Canada, because of which, right now, it is done for the US only. Right now, our company is just doing the GUI work, and we have the software on our computers and stuff, so it's not on the cloud.
I have seen a return on investment from the use of the solution since our processes become a lot more efficient, and the area of payroll gets done a lot quicker. Our company used to deal with a lot of employee turnover in the past, but with the processes being a lot more efficient nowadays, we don't see a lot of employee turnover anymore. Everything is going pretty well with the use of the solution in our company, and we are continuously trying to improve the processes in the organization.
I believe that ADP GlobalView Payroll is an expensive solution.
I would urge those who plan to use the product to get some prior experience with ADP GlobalView since it will allow them to work with the product in a much better manner. As our company did not have a consultant to help us with the product, things were running pretty slow for us since we had to rely on ADP a lot. After our company hired a consultant to help us with the product, we came to know that ADP takes time to figure out certain areas. ADP GlobalView Payroll is a much different payroll system from the other products available in the market.
The support offered by the product can be better.
I rate the overall product an eight to nine out of ten.
My primary use case is for payroll.
An area for improvement could be that projects tend to take longer because ADP wants to manage everything, which is an issue with any of the parties where you have hosted solutions.
Because ADP prefer to manage projects themselves, you can incur costs for their assistance, such as for a project manager.
ADP is a good solution if you want simple, static systems. However, if you have a solid organization with a good infrastructure already in place, it would make more sense to go with something like PeopleSoft. I would rate this solution as six out of ten.
