I use this solution to allow me to use work via a cloud computing platform.  This means I can access search information and features, such as Google Talk, that I would not normally be able to use.

My favorite feature of this solution is the flexibility of instance types, which allows for the cost to be tailored to the usage amount and type.

I would like to see improvement in the information available up-front for users around tailoring the package to their actual requirements. At present it can take time to work with the on demand instance until you are used to what features are right for the user.

I have been working with this solution for five years.

I have found this to be a stable solution during my time using it.

This is a scalable platform that can grow with the users requirements.

The initial setup of this solution is very quick and easy, and is all carried out online with guidance.

The pricing of this solution is variable.  There is an open-source variant that is accessible via the public cloud, and then tiers that range in price depending on the level and amount of usage that is required.

I would recommend that new users be very clear on what they require from this solution, and advise that they start with the 'user on demand' package until they know exactly what level of usage they need.

I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.

My primary use case for Amazon EC2 is running specific Windows programs on the cloud and collecting data from them.

I would like to see as much automation for data validation as possible in the future.

My impression is that this solution is scalable. We currently have four people using this solution and we have plans of expanding that number.

I would rate Amazon's tech support team a nine out of ten, with one being bad and one being excellent.

The setup was straightforward and easy. While the initial setup was simple, we had some problems with Glue scripts. We ran into some problems, but we found a way around them. 

It took around 20% of our staff to do this deployment and maintenance.

I think this is a very expensive solution and I would like it to be cheaper.

I would recommend this solution to others who want to start using it.

We use EC2 for some web-based applications. We have around 10 users. 

EC2 is good.

I have been using EC2 for about half a year.

EC2 is stable. 

EC2 is scalable.

We previously used on-premise hardware. 

The setup is straightforward and it takes around an hour. 

EC2 is a little expensive.

I'm using TCDs and OCDs, and these are the two high-performance systems.

We have our business applications running on EC2.

EC2 does have not many features. Normally, we do elastic load balancing, which is great.

The implementation is very easy. It's quick and easy to deploy.

It's quite stable.

We don't have any issues with the solution. Nothing is really missing in terms of features. 

I've been using the solution for many years now. 

The product is 100% stable. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. 

The solution scales quite well, and it is easy to expand. 

It's very easy to add to what is already there. You just have to add memory and storage and restart the instance. 

We have more than 100 people using the solution.

While we do not have plans to increase usage at this time, we may do so in a year.

We've been happy with technical support. They are very helpful and responsive.

The solution is straightforward to set up. It's not overly complex. We can deploy the solution in just ten to 15 minutes. It's very fast.

The maintenance is very easy. If we need help, we can always contact support for guidance. 

I was able to implement the solution myself. 

We've seen some ROI. It's saved us a lot of time on our side. 

The cost is moderate. It's not too high or too low. It's based on usage. While using AWS cloud ensures there are no hidden costs, if you use other clouds, there might be.

We did look into other options before choosing EC2. 

We're customers. 

I'm using a normal regular EC2. I'm not using containers.

On the cloud, we use both Amazon and Azure as our cloud. 

I'd recommend the solution as it is scalable, readily available, and offers good cost savings. People who know AWS have been very happy with the experience. 

I'd rate the solution ten out of ten.

I use this solution in my personal capacity for computing capacity. I use the free tier service. 

I like EC2 because of its simple workload and the ability to configure VPCs and security groups.

This solution could be improved with better pricing. If you continue using this solution over a long period of time, your costs may accumulate. I would also like a way to move my on-prem workload into the cloud.

Yes, this is a scalable solution. You can configure the solution for auto-scaling which scales any available resource that you want.

I have not had any reason to contact tech support.

The initial setup is very straightforward. It took five minutes for me to set it up. 

I completed this myself as I use this solution for personal use. 

I use the free tier, although I have paid for some services that are not free. The overall cost of this solution depends on the services you use. 

I would recommend Amazon EC2 to other people.

I would rate it an eight out of ten. 

We don't use all the many features of EC2, we use it mainly for standalone application deployments, and we have auto-scaled and configured it for data storage. It's a domain use case, so we are deploying some specific applications in EC2, and maintaining them.

I like that we can change the configuration whenever we need. We can scale up our requirement so that if we want to add more CPU, we can do it. If we want to add more memory or backup features, we can do that. We're also able to configure some elastic file system so that we can extend the memory or the space in which we want to store the data. That elasticity is quite a dynamic configuration of the machine and a feature we use often. Amazon provides good tutorials and free access to them for a year. 

Amazon has a very dynamic IP. Whenever we restart the machine, the IP gets changed. If you're using a cheaper machine IP, the configuration has to be changed. There are workarounds but it's an issue that could easily be solved. It would be great if Amazon could add additional services into the free tier so that people can explore and add to their knowledge base. 

We've been using this solution for two years. 

The stability is very good. We haven't faced any downtime or glitches.

This solution is very scalable. 

We have not had to connect with the support team because they provide us with a platform for self-service.

The initial setup is very easy and takes about half a day. We're also able to configure some scripts for auto setup. We used one DevOps person from our team to implement the solution. We have automated most things so there's no requirement for maintenance. The solution doesn't require constant monitoring. 

I rate this solution nine out of 10. 

We use Amazon EC2 for Windows and Linux systems. Additionally, we use it for UAT and load balancing.

Amazon EC2 could improve by having integration with other cloud systems, such as Azure, and Google Cloud which would be good. Additionally, having integration with on-premise systems would be appreciated.

Most of the clients are worried about getting completely dependent on a cloud provider. For example, if you develop everything using Amazon AWS services, then you get stuck with them, that's a worry today. There are people who are asking for cloud-agnostic implementation or services.

The initial setup of Amazon EC2  it's not straightforward. You need an Amazon AWS engineer to use it because there is a steep learning curve. It's not very difficult to find someone with AWS skillsets. 

After four years of use if we want to log and create an EC2 instance it is very easy. Once you have a solution architect or you have an Amzon AWS engineer on your team, it's easier to do.

I would recommend this solution to others and Azure. This is a fantastic solution, it provides the basic requirement for any cloud. They make available computing space or a server to use for customers.

I rate Amazon EC2 an eight out of ten.

I am using the tier three Amazon service. I am not going to use another solution other than Amazon EC2 because here in Pakistan there are some payment issues for solutions abroad.
