I used Amazon Rekognition probably one time at the beginning of the year for a small project about picture review. I uploaded a picture to an S3 bucket and connected it with Amazon Rekognition, which analyzes images or videos. I was detecting to see if it could identify anything from the picture.

What is most valuable?
From my type of project, Amazon Rekognition was not complicated to use. From my experience, it was a very good experience and easy to use. I was able to do the things that I wanted to do easily with just a little bit of debugging, but it was smooth.
I would recommend staying focused on it because it's really interesting to see how it can detect objects on images or videos. The scalability is very good for me. It's easy to integrate with other AWS services and the range of capability is for object detection. It's a really good product to use.
What needs improvement?
When Amazon Rekognition is detecting the picture, it's a little bit crowded. To make it more clear, specifying the product and detailing would help. Something that would make it easier to identify the items in the image would be beneficial.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Amazon Rekognition is the only image labeling tool that I have used so far. I have worked on multiple projects, but that's the only tool I have used.
How was the initial setup?
The first time using it, the first trial was seven out of ten. For me, it was more about the coding. After I coded with Python to see if it would be successful running it with Amazon Rekognition, it was a little bit difficult, but then the second try was smooth.
