One-click meeting access and seamless integration enhance video conferencing experience
Pros and Cons
- "Cisco is a leader in video conferencing solutions because they apply the latest technologies to their devices and services, such as artificial intelligence and versatile functionalities."
- "Cisco TelePresence could improve the WebRTC connections, as they are quite slow."
What is our primary use case?
My primary use case for Cisco TelePresence is providing video conferencing solutions for internal and external users, especially for enterprises. I am a partner in Spain and use the Cisco platform, along with Cisco end-user devices, to provide an end-to-end solution based on video conferencing.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature of Cisco TelePresence is the one-button-to-push functionality, which allows users to easily join meetings. Another significant feature is its integrated interoperability with Microsoft Teams meetings. Additionally, the dual behavior of the devices, allowing them to be used as Microsoft Teams meeting rooms, is highly useful. The solution also provides a complete directory access and the ability to configure macros, which is very important for customizing the end-user experience.
What needs improvement?
Cisco TelePresence could improve the WebRTC connections, as they are quite slow. The end user experiences delays when using WebRTC, sometimes taking one minute or more to receive a connection. This issue is mainly due to Cisco taking a long time to download and start the WebRTC client on their devices. Ensuring it is embedded in the device could help.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with Cisco TelePresence for more than fifteen years.
