One-click meeting access and seamless integration enhance video conferencing experience
Cisco TelePresence could improve the WebRTC connections, as they are quite slow. The end user experiences delays when using WebRTC, sometimes taking one minute or more to receive a connection. This issue is mainly due to Cisco taking a long time to download and start the WebRTC client on their devices. Ensuring it is embedded in the device could help.

Utilizing versatile features for efficient personal and work meetings
Zoom offers a number of interesting and valuable features. One of the most interesting is the ability to share only audio and provide ambient music without sharing a screen. The breakout room feature is much more developed than other solutions, allowing users to stay in the same meeting and move to different rooms and back to the main room. The sharing features are great for projecting people who should be in focus. Another valuable feature is the virtual entrance, which uses a username and password recognized by the Zoom system, showing the person's full name and ID. Additionally, the use of video and a good fixed background improves visibility compared to other applications. These features differentiate Zoom from others.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable features of Cisco TelePresence are the basic standard features and the ease of use. Additionally, the configuration and integration are exemplary."
"Cisco is a leader in video conferencing solutions because they apply the latest technologies to their devices and services, such as artificial intelligence and versatile functionalities."
"The SpeakerTrack feature is the most valuable feature."
"We have a dual screen option to enable video and content sharing."
"The speaker tracker feature in Cisco Telepresence is highly valuable, especially the ability to track multiple participants and change focus during meetings."
"Telepresence's most valuable feature is keeping highly paid employees, such as executives, on the ground instead of wasting time flying around the world. So if you have the right telepresence plan and form, it's not just the video cameras and the systems behind them, it's the way you lay out your meeting room. You can have multiple offices interconnecting in a single meeting, and it looks like everybody's in the same big conference room together because the telepresence yields such a fantastic amount of clarity."
"The configuration is a valuable."
"TelePresence allows our customers to have a quick meeting while traveling and still be effective. It saves time and money."
"When I had meetings, I used to take notes or record them, but then someone still had to transcribe everything. Now, I'm fascinated by OtterPilot. It automatically transcribes meetings, summarizes them, and identifies action items. I've been recommending it to everyone I know. It is a tool that you can use during Zoom or Teams calls. It takes real-time notes and then sends a summary and action items to everyone via email. It's been really helpful for about three or four years now."
"There have been no stability issues or downtimes."
"The performance is good."
"The collaboration features are good."
"The interface is very intuitive. It's very easy to use."
"I'm using it only for meetings, and it is good for me. It provides options for remote control and screen sharing."
"It is a stable solution."
"Zoom's content shareability and chat support are the most valuable features."

Cons

"The price of Cisco TelePresence overall should be reduced."
"I was in touch with one of our clients and they mentioned that they would like to have a holographic video conferencing. It would be great if that feature would be added."
"Cisco TelePresence could improve the WebRTC connections, as they are quite slow."
"The calling features can be improved."
"I would rate my experience with the initial setup a three out of ten, with ten being expensive. It was complex with badges and certificates. Too crazy."
"The tool is expensive."
"Cisco TelePresence could improve its integration capabilities."
"MX800 comes only with one available DVI port. A few more HDMI ports will improve the system's capability."
"Occasional system overload that requires a restart."
"The recording capabilities may not be as good as WebEx, however, I can't be sure about that just yet."
"The cost should be cheaper."
"It is important for us to have Zoom integration with our Active Directory environment."
"I don't know whose product is at fault, however, if you've ever had to go from Zoom to Teams to WebEx, it really messes around with your device settings."
"Security is something Zoom lacks. If you're trying to get proprietary buy-in and enterprise buy-in, security is the top priority. And even though the user interface is simple, every solution could use a tune-up in that department."
"The free version of Zoom only allows you to have a call session for approximately 45 minutes. This should be extended."
"I would like to see Zoom integrated with other third-party services."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We used high definition, 1080p, but again, it required license purchases. For example, with three licenses (TP licenses), each allowing one 1080p screen, if I had six participants, I'd need to lower the resolution to 720p or lower to accommodate more participants. More licenses meant more cost."
"I will rate the tool's pricing an eight out of ten."
"The pricing is expensive, therefore I rate it an eight out of ten."
"The price of Cisco Telepresence is high, especially in Brazil. However, the quality of the product justifies the cost."
"Cisco TelePresence license is expensive and should be reduced. There is only a cost for the license and it is annually."
"It is an inexpensive product."
"I use the free version of Zoom."
"Licensing fees are paid on a yearly basis."
"We have an annual subscription to the solution. The price could be reduced."
"For personal use, I use the free version of Zoom, so I haven't paid anything."
"Zoom has a less expensive subscription than other solutions such as Cisco Webex."
"The cost of Zoom is approximately $150 USD annually."
"The price is $149 USD yearly."
