Reliable backup tool ensures quick restoration and peace of mind
I use Acronis for backups. I use it to back up to other drives on the network, back up the entire system, including system images of the Windows C drive and all the data drives. This is for a small business, just myself The reliable tool allows for quick restoration from backup copies, meaning I…

Faced with deployment challenges but benefits from detailed reporting and cost efficiency
CrowdStrike sits at the kernel level and we don't know how it's operating, but we get the message; however, ESET Endpoint Protection Platform sometimes has issues with policies where users complain about popping up notifications. When we were using CrowdStrike, it used to detect and block pirated software, but ESET Endpoint Protection Platform is not doing that. The blocking notification in ESET Endpoint Protection Platform comes in when it is installed from the user; it should not disturb them because we are in a domain environment, and sometimes users are not able to bypass or minimize many things they are facing. Additionally, it is not detecting pirated software, which could be a bug. I trust ESET Endpoint Protection Platform, and they should ensure that software with bugs are not getting through. While it is cheap, ESET Endpoint Protection Platform sometimes makes the computer run slower and takes backup, which affects system performance. If the price is low, ESET Endpoint Protection Platform is saving money, but time-wise, we face problems because when users have issues, we need to spend time rectifying them.

Cons

"I originally intended to use Acronis for cloud backup, however, the cloud backup had major problems."
"The configuration needs improvement."
"I had a couple of false positives, but that’s it."
"They could be more aggressive with malware."
"In terms of areas for improvement, I didn't see any from ESET Endpoint Security because what's important is that it works as an antivirus solution. I do find its pricing expensive here in Hungary, so if the price could be lower, that would be good. ESET Endpoint Security is an antivirus, so it only needs to stop the virus. If it had other features, I wouldn't need it. Every program or solution has specific functions and in this case, ESET Endpoint Security is worth it as an antivirus, though in the next release of the solution, it would be better if there's some improvement in its antivirus database."
"The solution could have a more user-friendly interface."
"It would be nice to have more features in vulnerability scanning, which I believe will happen eventually."
"In the future, a cloud version of the solution would be great."
"I'm unsure as to if they could actually support a large enterprise."
"The solution’s console management and scalability should be improved."
"The tool needs to explore security possibilities to secure iOS and Mac devices."
