Reliable image backups have protected our HMIs and simplified on‑premises recovery
We have not tried the vulnerability assessment feature yet because we have a different set of protocols for our cybersecurity. We conduct audits and plug the gaps as part of our security approach. We are not using AI with the anti-malware from Acronis; we are using it only for backup and recovery. On the backup and restoration side with Acronis Backup, some on-premises AI features which can detect anomalies may be something which would improve the product significantly. Otherwise, we are not very comfortable with cloud-based solutions at this time. We are looking for products which are entirely on-premises, so they remain within our control.

Seamlessly integrated backup solution with clear UI and affordable pricing
We wanted a backup on an external provider of our old code repository and we chose this solution Thanks to the solution, we have more control for ISO 27001, which is equivalent to SOC 2 in America. It is required for all security compliance. The seamless integration, the clear and easy-to-use…

"It allows us to backup our remote sites to a local NAS device, and allows for easy retrieval of data."
"It provided us with a fast and reliable way to recover a complex operating system, from one server to another so as to increase the business continuity."
"Massive peace of mind and the certain knowledge that we can recover from any disaster goes way beyond the cost of the product."
"The most valuable feature is the extra protection, especially for the backup."
"Acronis Backup and Recovery has a simple interface that allows administrators to quickly achieve basic backup tasks and restoration."
"It is one of my favorite backup software, much faster and more reliable than the other software that I have tried."
"The seamless integration, the clear and easy-to-use UI, and the pricing, which is fairly cheap, are all valuable aspects of the product."

Cons

"Yes, mostly with Acronis Snap Deploy, using network deployment, most clients do not automatically get DHCP settings when using dual network adapters on the Server."
"I have no suggestions for improvements as I have only used the product for a month and have yet to really discover all of its aspects."
"In the span of six months, maintenance is done at least twice and you are told that it is coming up, with apologies for the inconvenience. It's a distraction, and it interferes with the backup schedule."
"The biggest problem that we have is when the antivirus is installed, the whole machine runs very slowly and some of the machines hang."
"Acronis Backup isn't scalable at all."
"In the span of six months, maintenance is done at least twice and you are told that it is coming up, with apologies for the inconvenience. It's a distraction, and it interferes with the backup schedule."
"I wish Acronis had a feature that would allow me to set an expiry date for customers when I send them Acronis, such as when I create a customer workload or gigabyte."
"Acronis Backup can improve the latency when the file size is larger, we have had issues. Additionally, they could allow more flexibility when searching for information and I cannot download the CBIS backup copy information which could be made easier."
"They force you to use the web UI or SaaS platform to restore the backup."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"When it comes to elements like cost, I think it is the only backup solution which has perpetual licenses, whereby you buy the license once and for all."
"The pricing is significantly higher than it was last year, which is understandable since they have introduced new technology, such as transitioning from backup to cybersecurity."
"The pricing model is a little complex to find the right size for what you need. It takes a lot of hours to figure it out."
"There is a license required for this solution and it can be on a monthly basis."
"The tool's subscription costs are monthly. The product's pricing is fair."
"We were on a perpetual license for Acronis Backup."
"Its price is quite friendly on the pocket. You need to pay the licensing cost upfront, and then the support charges are on an annual basis."
"We have a Cyber Cloud backup license and we have on-premises storage. Both can be useful for our customers."
