Has supported mid-market deployments with cloud-based centralized management and reliable wireless performance
I faced challenges earlier with a limitation of 50 APs in single sites, but that has enhanced to 100 numbers, eliminating that challenge for Aruba Instant On team. Additionally, some features are not listed in the cloud management platform and still require offline access, so enhancing the cloud management features would be better for us.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Aruba is a great product, I've used it for a couple of years and it's been working well."
"The most valuable feature of Aruba Instant On is that it is cloud-managed, making it easy to manage multiple locations in a single dashboard, especially on cloud, and it can even be managed by a mobile app, which is the best feature for mid-market customers who don't have much expertise or manpower resource."
"This is a very solid product. It is very powerful."
"The features I have found most valuable is that the solution creates a guest portal for guest networks, and setting up SSID authentication to the regular server."
"The cost is low, and there is controller-less architecture."
"I can implement it at small sites, and I can also implement it at mid-sized locations. It is very flexible. It is really nice and useful for customers who have many small sites."
"Has many advanced features: Built-in firewall, local radius, application visibility and control, not locked into support agreements."
"In terms of stability, Aruba Instant is the best on the market."
"Installation is easy."
"The most valuable thing about Huawei Wireless is that it is one of the cheapest WiFi 6 systems. Its price is very nice. The other WiFi systems cost about 15% more."
"When opening the radio, we manage the frequency to handle overlapping effectively."
"The solution is very user-friendly and easy to use."
"The solution's roaming feature is very nice. When you move to another place it automatically changes the access point. It's one of the most valuable features."
"The solution offers very good value for money."
"This solution is very simple and the interface is user-friendly."
"It is easy to set up."

Cons

"The reach of the solution could be improved."
"The product’s GUI must be improved."
"My biggest problem with Aruba Instant was the DHCP implementation."
"They could offer a new model for access points that are outdoors."
"This solution would be improved if they supplied free software controllers."
"In a corporate environment or a larger network, where more advanced filtering or MAC-based filtering is needed, I don't think the IAPs would be sufficient."
"The only issue that I have encountered was the captive portal through Facebook."
"It is good as it is. If anything, its reporting could be improved."
"I'd like to see some after-sales support. It's a little bit below the expectations we had."
"The demo program is an area for improvement in Huawei Wireless as it's hard to use."
"The speed could be a bit better."
"The manageability could be improved."
"Technical support is not ideal. They sometimes cannot connect to the wireless access point or their connection drops."
"The stability could be improved."
"What needs improvement in Huawei Wireless is after-sales support. I've faced many after-sales support issues, so that's the area I want Huawei to improve. Having an SLA with customers is what I'd suggest to Huawei Wireless."
"Technical support could be better."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Aruba Instant is a free subscription with a limited lifetime warranty."
"I personally would rather pay that little bit more and get what I need because I know what I'm getting, as opposed to going for something cheaper that's not as manageable and doesn't give as much."
"I rate the product’s pricing a two out of ten."
"It's a one time cost, including the upgrades, but you have to pay on a yearly basis if you want support. The price is in the middle in comparison to that of competitors' products."
"The customers do not have to pay for licensing."
"It is not expensive. Its price is fair. You get many features with the normal licensing. If I look at Cisco, it is very expensive if I need similar things."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"The solution's pricing is reasonable."
"Extras come with a surcharge."
"Its price is very good. This wireless system totally costs about 30,000 euros, and some of the other solutions cost about 45,000 euros. It is a difference of 15,000 euros, which is quite a lot of money."
"It is not monthly. It is a kind of perpetual licensing. We pay once depending on the kind of services we need to deliver. There are no licensing fees."
"The product has a good price."
"I pay monthly for the solution."
"Huawei Wireless is one of the cheapest options in the marketplace."
"Right now, my company made a one-time purchase of Huawei Wireless. It depends, but in most of the projects where customers buy hardware with some software, it's a one-time purchase. Customers pay a yearly fee for other projects for support and additional software features, such as email protection firmware updates for cybersecurity. You'll also receive information about the latest attacks and get more protection if you pay an additional fee apart from the standard license fee. You'll also get an additional warranty for Huawei Wireless, a yearly contract."
"To compete effectively, Huawei might consider adjusting pricing to align more closely with other competitive brands, particularly those offering lower-cost solutions."
