Has supported mid-market deployments with cloud-based centralized management and reliable wireless performance
I faced challenges earlier with a limitation of 50 APs in single sites, but that has enhanced to 100 numbers, eliminating that challenge for Aruba Instant On team. Additionally, some features are not listed in the cloud management platform and still require offline access, so enhancing the cloud management features would be better for us.

Affordable platform with efficient analytics features
Huawei adapters have facilitated seamless integration with mobile devices, extending the LAN's reach. Additionally, including CampusInsight, a component offering analytics and visibility into wireless connectivity, has proven invaluable. This feature enables us to monitor network health and troubleshoot user-related issues efficiently. The reliability has had a positive impact on our operations. I advise others to go for Cisco if cost is not a factor. Otherwise, they can explore other options based on the availability of that OEM within the country. We have Huawei present in our country and provide all the necessary support, so we went forward with them. I rate it a nine out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Allows network monitoring through mobile devices"
"It's a good solution for small businesses because it's easy to figure out. It's simple to set Aruba up in any configuration, like link aggregation or static loads. It's suitable for less complicated configurations, whereas Cisco devices are bigger and more difficult to implement."
"The product's initial setup phase was straightforward, considering that the tool offers a ZTP feature."
"We like being able to merge Aruba Instant to mobile via Bluetooth. You are also able to perform a lot of functions remotely such as creating an SSID IP."
"Aruba Instant is cloud-based, and thus, it improves wireless network performance on cloud platforms. The solution allows network monitoring through devices like mobiles and desktops, which is a feasible option. The tool also has Bluetooth settings so a user can deploy Aruba Instant through a serial number or the Bluetooth option."
"The simplicity of the dashboard is one of the most valuable features. It's easy to use, and manage and the security features are robust. We can block unauthorized connections and create secure SSIDs."
"The most valuable feature of Aruba Instant is security."
"The technical support from Aruba is of high quality, and I would rate it a ten."
"It is easy to set up."
"The solution has high performance and we are using Wi-Fi 6 that we have found to be the best coverage."
"I think it's a good technology. I like that it transparently connects with LDAP. The technology has a lot of capacity for WiFi six. It provides notifications, and there are many ways to connect with fiber. There is an electrical tool, and you can put an SFP transceiver. There are also many ways to implement antennas."
"The solution's roaming feature is very nice. When you move to another place it automatically changes the access point. It's one of the most valuable features."
"It provides high-speed network connections."
"Huawei Wireless's most valuable feature is smart antenna, a combination of informative capabilities and advanced technology."
"That would be more of engineering at this point. I'm from more of the business side. It's pretty much doing the standard installations with portal integrations and integrations with the Mac."
"Huawei Wireless has controllers inside the switches."

Cons

"Technical support needs improvement. We use the forum for technical support assistance, but it's not enough. If you're talking with a technician, they're in India. They cannot give you the service that you need. Sometimes have problems with some personal services and technical support is not helpful in this area."
"The product is a little expensive."
"They could provide a centralized system to manage switches incorporated into multiple branches."
"It is not powerful enough and lacks features recommended for larger dimensions, making it unsuitable for big companies with requirements like 100 access points."
"The support offered by Aruba is slow."
"Aruba Instant does not currently offer a multi-gig switch or product, making it an area that requires improvement. Aruba Instant's competitors have multi-gig switches or products."
"The solution should be able to support more users on the access points."
"The reach of the solution could be improved. It could be a bit stronger."
"Technical support could be better."
"The technical support needs to be improved. They also need to produce some more technical guides."
"The scalability could be a bit better."
"There could be a console port for demonstration or configuration purposes."
"The stability could be improved."
"While technically proficient, enhancing communication skills would greatly benefit the customer experience."
"The security of the solution could be better in the future."
"They should actually first test the equipment thoroughly and then launch it. Sometimes, things come out too soon, before they are ready."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Aruba Instant is a free subscription with a limited lifetime warranty."
"The tool's pricing is neither cheap nor expensive."
"The product has increased its pricing by at least 30 percent."
"I rate the product’s pricing a two out of ten."
"The setup cost varies based on each organization's requirements but it is within reason."
"I rate the product's price a five on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive."
"It's a one time cost, including the upgrades, but you have to pay on a yearly basis if you want support. The price is in the middle in comparison to that of competitors' products."
"It is not expensive. Its price is fair. You get many features with the normal licensing. If I look at Cisco, it is very expensive if I need similar things."
"Huawei Wireless is an expensive solution."
"Huawei licenses can be for either a one-year up to a five-year period and also apply for the tiers."
"It is not monthly. It is a kind of perpetual licensing. We pay once depending on the kind of services we need to deliver. There are no licensing fees."
"I pay monthly for the solution."
"Its price is very good. This wireless system totally costs about 30,000 euros, and some of the other solutions cost about 45,000 euros. It is a difference of 15,000 euros, which is quite a lot of money."
"I would rate the tool's pricing a seven out of ten."
"The platform is less costly than one of its competitors. I rate the pricing a three out of ten."
"It is very cost-effective."
