Affordable platform with efficient analytics features
Huawei adapters have facilitated seamless integration with mobile devices, extending the LAN's reach. Additionally, including CampusInsight, a component offering analytics and visibility into wireless connectivity, has proven invaluable. This feature enables us to monitor network health and troubleshoot user-related issues efficiently. The reliability has had a positive impact on our operations. I advise others to go for Cisco if cost is not a factor. Otherwise, they can explore other options based on the availability of that OEM within the country. We have Huawei present in our country and provide all the necessary support, so we went forward with them. I rate it a nine out of ten.

Unified management of devices ensures a consistent network configuration
I find the features of Ubiquiti WLAN most valuable. I appreciate that it has a controller instead of just a single access point, similar to how Ruckus operates. I utilize Ubiquiti WLAN unified management system, and it helps streamline network management by making consistent configuration of all my access points and switches. I also have cameras integrated, so I have everything managed through the system. I have seen benefits from utilizing Ubiquiti WLAN as it's a stable solution. I also see scalability as a positive factor for Ubiquiti WLAN.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution's roaming feature is very nice; when you move to another place it automatically changes the access point, and it's one of the most valuable features."
"It is based on 802.11ax, which is a new technology. There are several valuable things, such as its speed and mobility. There are options for self-organizing networking so that it can perform operations and maintain itself. Its three interfaces are very good and user friendly."
"The product is simple and easy to use."
"When opening the radio, we manage the frequency to handle overlapping effectively."
"Installation is easy."
"The reliability has had a positive impact on our operations."
"The best feature of Huawei Wireless is the quick and fast setup."

"The only way to re-adopt AP's is to do a hard reset of the device."
"The solution works well and in the short time I have used it, I've enjoyed its capabilities."
"Ubiquiti WLAN's most valuable features are that it works well in a hybrid environment and isn't heavy on resources."
"The management features are valuable."

Cons

"As such, there are no problems. It has been good. There were some issues with the network design, but that is not specifically related to the product. We had to make some improvements in the network design. The product as such is fine, and there are no big issues. We are using the latest version having most of the features available in the industry, so the specs are very high. If something new comes up new in the industry, it needs to be incorporated into the product."
"The security of the solution could be better in the future."
"Technical support is not ideal. They sometimes cannot connect to the wireless access point or their connection drops."
"The technical support needs to be improved. They also need to produce some more technical guides."
"The manageability of radio frequencies to avoid overlapping needs improvement."
"The solution could be easier to use."
"Improving the visibility, control offered, and cloud management would all be very helpful."
"I have encountered connectivity issues with the tool. I am not sure if it is due to Wi-Fi inference. I would like the solution to include some marketing analytics features like evaluation of user behavior."
"The product’s bandwidth could be better."
"The solution should support a larger bandwidth or distance between the access points and the main stations."
"The solution is stable but could improve."
"The statistics you can get on it are a bit limited from what I have seen so far."
"Switching devices requires reconfiguration from scratch."
"The product must provide better warranties."
"Ubiquiti lacks troubleshooting tools. For example, there aren't tools that your clients can use to gather input on the AP itself. There's no visibility in the application layer or reporting. It doesn't have a lot of management features."
"Cloud management is one feature that should be included in the next release. This tool is best suited for small environments, not large and complex ones."

"We don't have any control on the pricing. This comes from Huawei in India. Pricing-wise, Huawei is very aggressive and competitive if you compare them to competitors, like Cisco, Aruba, and Ruckus.
