I think the areas of SAP Analytics Cloud that could be improved or enhanced are mentioned by users or companies, and they would definitely mention the price in terms of planning licensing. From a consulting point of view, I don't see any major weaknesses. It is reasonably well-developed, and the perfect strength is that innovations are coming on a quarterly basis. It is slightly behind other tools in terms of the number of graphical outputs. Some tools have it faster, but every increment of innovations contains new features. On the other hand, it is perfectly fitting to the SAP environment, with seamless integration to all SAP modules, not only ERP but also SuccessFactors and other tools from the SAP family, for example, integrated business planning for the production planning. This is really a highlight compared to other tools.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The GUI interface is nice and easy to use."
"The ease of use of the solution is its most valuable feature."
"Provides rich features for developing automated reports and dashboards."
"SAP Analytics Cloud allows you to quickly perform various tasks in terms of virtualization. CyberArk itself requires some enhancements to better connect with other technologies. While it's easy to connect with SAP, using analytics tools may sometimes necessitate sourcing information from different platforms. You might need data from SAP or other technologies/platforms to access specific information not available within SAP. SAP is effective for managing storage and enhancing virtualization capabilities."
"What I appreciate about SAP Analytics Cloud is the AI features, which include interactive dashboards, drill-down capabilities, linked dimensions, and the ability to integrate more than one model in the same story."
"SAP Analytics Cloud changed the culture of meetings with data-driven management for our client."
"It is a comprehensive BI solution that provides reporting, planning, and predictive analytics in one solution."
"The stories have really been helpful in looking at specific scenarios and analyzing trends over periods of time."
"This tool is very useful; when I do my analysis there, the AI tool helps me a lot to understand the data and what I need to do."

Cons

"The product was not able to meet our 10 second refresh requirements."
"The organization of the icons is not saved across users."
"There was an issue with the incremental aggregation not working as indicated."
"I'm not satisfied with technical support because they're taking some time. Sometimes I think they could be faster."
"One area for improvement in SAP Analytics Cloud is incorporating Python into the coding. That functionality is available, but it's not as efficient, and it's a bit difficult sometimes to do it, so that could be improved."
"I would not say SAP Business Data Cloud is stable at this point because we receive new updates and fixes from SAP every week."
"My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing of SAP Business Data Cloud is that it is very high compared to implementation costs."
"The price of SAP Analytics Cloud varies in perception among customers. Some customers say it's overpriced while others say it's reasonable; it depends on the use case and the type of customer."
"Pricing is fine for the BI license, but when it comes to client license, that fee is a bit high."
"Faster implementation of new functions for the new product is an area of improvement in SAP Analytics Hub."
"It's quite expensive and costs a lot to maintain, especially with licensing."
