Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Framework has streamlined multi-agent monitoring and now delivers clear, actionable log insights
I appreciate the AutoGen Studio team builder, which is good, but it could be even better. I do not understand the versioning from Microsoft; the version is 0.4, which has been available since February 2025. There are already multiple platforms on the internet for creating AI agent systems, and I think AutoGen is not as mature as it could be. The challenges that other customers might encounter while setting up this solution include understanding how the framework works. The documentation is somewhat available, but it is not perfect, and there are not many running examples because it is new. There is no community yet, so you might be dealing with issues specific to how to use the framework properly to achieve the desired outcomes.

Has helped automate repetitive tasks and streamline content summarization across teams
For analytics, I prefer using the Power BI platform instead of Microsoft Copilot Studio. When it comes to analytics, though it gives the right insight, the visuals are not of great quality, or sometimes they don't appear at all. For instance, when creating charts of sales on a quarter-on-quarter basis or month-on-month basis in a bar graph or pie chart, Microsoft Copilot Studio doesn't perform adequately. Anything requiring image creation or graphs and plots is not optimal. The graphing features are missing in Microsoft Copilot Studio. Although image creation is available, it lags at times, similar to any other LLM module. When creating content based on graphs or CIO presentations, these features are not developed to a great extent.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"In the past ten months, I have saved the work of two people and people are happy with the results."
"When I compare it with other RPA tools, Automation Anywhere seems pretty good. It's a user-friendly tool. Anyone can easily understand it. If there is an error, you can easily debug it from the developer level. In Automation Anywhere, the error handling happens in the easiest way. In case of an error, we send an email. It's not too difficult code to understand. There's only beginning and ending error handling, which is easy to understand."
"The ease of use and its ability to change the code when something in the main process or core process changes. The ease of use is really good."
"The valuable features that I see for automation with enterprise RPA are IQ Bot and Bot Insights."
"The ability to customize added automation to a lot of situations where human judgment and interpretation are not required."
"It saves us man-hours, headcount, and processing time, and we have automated the equivalent headcount of 500 FTEs since we started, with those people doing different types of work activities instead of being laid off."
"Our onboarding process was pretty good. We got access to all software that we needed to learn and utilize. The Automation Anywhere University is really good. In our business, the person who was onboarding us helped us to understand how to create a center of excellence and what verticals we needed to improve. So, the support was there. We are gradually becoming a center of excellence ourselves."
"The platform itself is intuitive and easy to use. I have even mentioned to people who aren't developers or very computer savvy that they could pick up Automation Anywhere and just get started."
"The features contributing most to operational efficiency with AutoGen are part of the framework that allows you to create AI agents in an accelerated way and the communication between those agents in the same manner."
"Microsoft Copilot Studio has helped enhance my development process quite a lot."
"We have achieved approximately 60 to 70% productivity gain using Microsoft Copilot Studio."
"Starting with Microsoft Copilot Studio for product projects, especially for POC and MVP, accelerates the creation and demonstration to clients, helping them interact with and understand the solution before discussing further improvements."
"The integration part in Microsoft Copilot Studio is something I really appreciate because it's very easy to integrate with anything, and the main reason we chose this Studio is its simplicity in developing and building workflows and interconnecting things, especially when it comes to public cloud; life is quite easy."
"The use case involves intelligent code assistance, UI, UX, and integration parts."

Cons

"They should make the product smarter. The bot we use right now is kind of fundamentally basic loop-based. We really want to see a little bit more advanced capability, that way we can undertake more comprehensive tasks."
"In the 10.7 version, the back-end port for the MetaBot password has looping. This has been a type of limitation."
"I would like to have a bot as a service platform on AA Cloud."
"The product needs improvements in dealing with remote servers and providing more APIs that will be used with other systems."
"We want to have greater control on deciding when we want to upgrade to a newer version"
"What we currently have with Fortress IQ needs to mature more, and I say this since people spend weeks creating PDDs documentation."
"We will be running error handling for 8,000 process and the system will fail."
"Having some more pre-mapping and pre-setup analysis of what you're going to be doing with it would be helpful."
"I do not understand the versioning from Microsoft; the version is 0.4, which has been available since February 2025. There are already multiple platforms on the internet for creating AI agent systems, and I think AutoGen is not as mature as it could be."
"The price for Microsoft Copilot Studio can definitely be improved, as small organizations find it very difficult to manage the subscription."
"While Microsoft Copilot Studio can create documents and add information, it does not do so accurately, and this is an area that needs improvement."
"For analytics, I prefer using the Power BI platform instead of Microsoft Copilot Studio."
"I feel that the pricing and licensing methods of Microsoft Copilot Studio are not very conducive."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I don't agree with the IQ Bot licensing costs, which depends on the consumption of the document rather than per bot or user. This is confusing for me, because most of the cases for us in a possible future scenario, there would be a lot of invalid data to be scanned to get to real data. E.g., we would have to supply approximately 100 pages of scanned data to extract two pages of original data. In these type of cases, the IQ Bot might be a costly venture."
"Their overall pricing falls in the middle of the market. Cost-wise, Automation Anywhere is quite expensive because of their analytics, IQ Bots, and MetaBots. For a standalone machine, the pricing is okay. When adding in the licensing for IQ Bots (or MetaBots), it can become quite costly."
"On a scale of one to ten with ten being the most expensive, I rate the price of Automation Anywhere an eight out of ten."
"As our team size increases, we may get some more licenses for the tool."
"If you look at the capital expenditure, Automation Anywhere is number two to UiPath. But if you take a long-term view, on a scalable model of a large number of bots coming out, it slowly goes on to become the costliest tool. There is something they can do about that. The capital expenditure goes out right at the point of buying the tool. For Automation Anywhere, I would need to spend $20,000. UiPath can give me something for $6,000, while Blue Prism will come in at $300,000."
"There are a lot of savings in terms of effort and time as well as costs. Automation Anywhere automates a lot of processes. It allows an organization to save the efforts of a lot people. It saves a lot of time because people can't work a whole day (24/7), but Automation Anywhere bots can."
"Complaints are generally about the cost of IQ Bot, which is higher than its competitors. The base model’s pricing is comparable to other platforms with attended, unattended, and IDP capabilities as well."
"The solution is quite expensive. Not every organization can consider this option."
