Real-time network visibility has transformed how we pinpoint LAN bottlenecks and resolve issues faster

The only area for improvement is pricing. Otherwise, the tool is great. I think the pricing is acceptable. If you are working with resellers, it makes it a little bit difficult sometimes for the reseller to be able to make too much, as the margin is not all that significant. However, we are not getting rid of Auvik Network Management (ANM). That is the only thing in my opinion that Auvik Network Management (ANM) can do a little bit better on—maybe just the pricing—but it is a great tool. We are not replacing it with anything and we are not removing it at all. It is a great tool, and we are able to monitor our own internal network as well as that of our customers. In most cases, we have not had any complaints about neither from my techs or from myself about its functionality, as it works really.

Has the capability to automatically integrate with a large number of products

Scalability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten. I have not worked much on other technologies, like SAP or VMware's virtualization part, on-prem infrastructure, or cloud infrastructure. Instana Infrastructure Monitoring is so fast and easy to adapt that it works fine. I have not explored other operating systems or infrastructure solutions because my company doesn't have that customer scale. Most of our customers are on-prem or on AWS or Azure, but Instana Infrastructure Monitoring adapts to their infrastructure very well. My company came to know how well Instana Infrastructure Monitoring adapts to our customers' infrastructures when we take care of the PoC phase. Around 12 to 15 people in my company use the product.

"The most valuable feature is the notification that alerts us to an offline server, whether the server is rebooting, resetting, or if we have network issues with the internet service provider."

"The network map is fantastic. The backup of configs is also valuable. It does SSH into each network device and retains a copy of the configs on the machines as well as the change logs. So, when something suddenly stops, you can compare the configs to see what happened. You can do a side-by-side comparison of the configs to see exactly what changed. That's fantastic."

"The switch backups are great. If a switch goes down or gets fried, we can just plug in a new switch and be good to go."

They have built a dashboard in Power BI using APIs, but they should build some sort of report within Auvik itself. If Auvik fixes the reporting or comes up with a good reporting module, it will change the game."

It gives us excellent visibility into the network, but if there is a way to include some remediation tips that are digestible by level-one and level-two techs, that would be great."
