Streamlined with good backup processes and secure automation capabilities
AWS Backup is secure and comes with a vault that ensures data is never deleted, offering great security. The pay-as-you-go model is beneficial for scalability, as cost scales with the amount of data backed up. Additionally, it offers automation capabilities, allowing backups to be configured based on custom plans and frequency. It also has built-in monitoring to notify of failures, achieving operational excellence and ease of use.

Streamlined data management reduces workload and costs significantly for the team
We are planning to use Rubrik Go's AI-powered insights for predictive analytics, but have not implemented this yet. I cannot provide updates on Rubrik Go's capability to automate data management tasks because I have not used that feature yet. Rubrik Go's integration capabilities with cloud providers have benefited my multi-cloud environment significantly. Rubrik Go's subscription model has helped me align my data protection investments, which is a good option as I am one of the customers who have deployed this subscription option. I am definitely satisfied with the licensing model as it is very simplified and easy to understand. On a scale of 1-10, I rate Rubrik Go a 9.

"The auto-scaling feature and the time efficiency of setting up AWS Backup are the most valuable aspects for us."
"The most valuable feature is its ease of use."

"The solution's main focus is on security and ransomware."
"The most valuable feature is the ease of use for backing up VMs."
"It has an easy-to-use interface that is not complicated."

"Rubrik Go is very simple to use."
"The most valuable feature is the storage efficiency, as the storage footprint is very good."
"The automation capabilities streamline our operations significantly."
"The standout feature is its ransomware protection capabilities."

Cons

"To create a plan and for all the configuration, one has to do multiple steps, which could be organized in a much simpler way, making the user experience better."
"It could be less expensive."
"If AWS Backup were a hybrid solution that also supported on-premises backups then it would be very helpful, especially if you are doing a migration to the cloud."
"The time it takes to complete the backups could be reduced."
"Its cost could be better than a few of its competitors."
"The AWS Backup backend reporting is a major area that needs improvement. We would be very excited if we can see some reporting, such as trends. We do understand that there are reports available for S3 Bucket, in which the AWS backend stores the data. However, if we can receive holistic reporting, then it would be very helpful for us."
"The service disconnects a lot."
"There have been occasional issues with the user interface needing certain necessary information, requiring us to contact support for clarification."
"Integration with the client is something that needs to be improved."

"The solution’s pricing could be reduced."
"Being a modern backup solution, Rubrik should have an option to back up a Kubernetes cluster."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's a myth that Cloud is cheap. Cloud is cheap initially, but the cost over time can be equal to your own infrastructure if you consume a lot."
"Price-wise, I rate the solution a six out of ten. One only has to pay for the storage cost of AWS solutions, which is the standard cost provided by AWS."
"AWS Backup is a very cheap solution."
"AWS Backup is free of cost, but we need to pay for the backup storage being used."
"The pricing is decent."
"Its price is much cheaper than some vendors but more expensive than others."
"There are no licensing costs for AWS Backup. You pay only for the amount of backup storage you use and then the data transferred between regions. Overall AWS Backup is priced reasonably."
"We don't use a lot of space, only approximately 900 GB, so the price is reasonable. For standing, it's okay. We normally do a payment to SSML, and they are the ones who pay over there. It is around $100 monthly."
"Rubrik Go is more cost-effective than similar solutions by other vendors."
"It's an expensive product if you compare it to traditional backup solutions; however, if you compare it as a total cost of ownership for a solution, it is not."

"The solution is reasonably priced."
"Rubrick Go is quite expensive - I would rate its pricing four out of ten."
"This is a very costly solution."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is expensive and ten is cheap, I rate the solution's pricing a three out of ten."
"I would rate the product's pricing a seven out of ten. The solution's costs are monthly."
