Solution provides essential protection with good support and a simple setup
I have noticed a pattern developing in approximately five minutes. If it were possible to provide these patterns with historical data spanning six months, three months, or two months directly from the console, it would be extremely beneficial. It would allow for easy inquiries and facilitate the retrieval of relevant parts without having to manually check logs or examine movements. Instead, if all historical data were available, I could consult six months' worth of identified patterns efficiently through AWS without relying on external sources. This solution is particularly suitable for startups or medium-sized startups. I would rate the overall solution eight out of ten.

Multi-layered defense ensures robust protection and optimized resources
Radware DDoS Protection Service is valued for its multi-layered defense protection, always-on and on-demand service, zero-day protection with adaptive behavioral-based mitigation, DNS and infrastructure protection, and SSL attack mitigation. The solution's multi-layer protection covers volumetric, protocol-based, and application layer attacks. They offer a very effective response against DNS attacks. Regarding behavior-based detection technology, in terms of real-time detection, it has been able to reduce false positives. We have pretty good experience with them. The geolocation is pretty good for an organization such as ours. We can block anything from certain regions, like North Korea or China, etc, cetera. It works alongside machine learning. They can update policies globally in less than ten seconds, which really helps with false positives. During a DDoS attack, it ensures legitimate users are not affected. We're working on a hybrid solution, so we have Defence Pro devices on our side and unlimited mitigation capabilities on the cloud.

Pros

"I am impressed with the product's multiple features like security."
"It is quite scalable, and we have not faced any issues with its scalability."
"The product has a good mechanism to analyze trends and trigger events."
"We have integrated the tool with Active Directory. The most important feature is that it's transparent and doesn't degrade the performance of our solution. Additionally, it's easy to configure, which is crucial for us. It's easy to use and set up and stops attacks on our servers. We haven't encountered any attack problems because the solution stops them in real-time. AWS Shield specifically focuses on defending against denial-of-service attacks, making it a great solution for that type of threat."
"The solution's ease of use is the most valuable feature."
"It is integrated with AWS. So, it gives you a good first step."
"The product is easy to use."
"The solution operates smoothly at its baseline level, and we do not encounter any issues at that level."
"SSL-based mitigation from DDoS attacks is good from their side. They are capable of preventing SSL-based attacks with certifications and everything loaded onto them."
"They have a hybrid model approach if a client wants to go that way."
"It has kept us up and operational on a day-to-day basis, without being interrupted by an attack from outside sources."
"I've been using this solution for the past two and a half years at my company, and I’m pleased to share that we’ve successfully achieved all of our use cases with their services."
"It offers valuable insights into ongoing and past attacks, aiding in post-incident analysis and continuous improvement of our cybersecurity strategy."
"A valuable feature is the speed of signature updates."
"The tool's machine learning and artificial intelligence help to prevent attacks by analyzing real-time traffic."
"Radware DDoS Protection Service is valued for its multi-layered defense protection, always-on and on-demand service, zero-day protection with adaptive behavioral-based mitigation, DNS and infrastructure protection, and SSL attack mitigation."

Cons

"Perhaps the time required to detect anomalies can be reduced. Presently, it takes some time to determine whether a situation is normal or abnormal."
"The product is expensive."
"Perhaps the time required to detect anomalies can be reduced."
"The product should give users more flexibility to customize their security policies according to their requirements."
"The time taken to detect anomalies must be reduced."
"We end up having to pay extra for features that AWS adds that we don't need."
"The product needs to improve its logs and reports to make it read better."
"The management of it is a bit hard. If you don't engineer it on the front side, it is hard to go back in and change it. It could be improved in terms of architecture requirements and then ongoing support requirements as a secondary component to it. People tend to set up things like this, and they just expect it to work without the care and feeding that needs to go back into it either from an application team or a network environment team."
"There's room for improvement in the clarity of the feedback provided by the command service in the CLI."
"I would like to see better implementation of a zero-day attack implementation strategy with self-mitigation."
"I had some trouble in the registration account prior to deployment, but it was fixed. They were not very fast or responsive, however. It took about one week to resolve the issue."
"Radware DefensePro requires a continuous learning process. Using this technology, we can improve our network. Based on the different attack mechanisms, we use Radware DefensePro to provide security for our clients' networks very effectively."
"I would like to have more granular steps according to protected bandwidth, so the granularity should be better."
"This product would be improved if ongoing live monitoring with dashboards were added."
"It currently takes about 15 to 20 minutes for the process to complete, which should be minimized."
"I think Radware DDoS Protection Service could be improved by enhancing the network analytics features."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We pay $3000 per month for the solution."
"The tool is cheap."
"The cost depends on traffic each month, so on average, it costs us between US$200 and US$300 per month."
"The tool's pricing is good."
"It depends on your subscription level and the volume that you're spending with AWS. So, it is very relative to the consumption alignment in your subscription level. It is a well-constructed, scalable pricing option, but it is relative to how much you're spending on AWS. Because the more you spend, typically, the more you get off on services like this. I find it to be comparable to other solutions."
"The pricing is okay, and I do not have any concerns about the price."
"It is expensive. I would rate it a seven out of ten for pricing."
"The pricing is based on the amount of network traffic and the number of packets being inspected."
"The licensing cost is about $50,000."
"The product's pricing is a good value."
"It is sort of middle-of-the-road for this type of solution."
"I rate Radware DefenseFlow's pricing an eight out of ten."
"Radware DefensePro is a bit on the expensive side."
