Centralized monitoring has improved branch management and simplifies proactive WAN troubleshooting
The best features of Versa Director are centralized device management, SD-WAN policy configuration, real-time WAN and application monitoring, traffic streaming, and centralized troubleshooting, making managing multiple branches much easier from a single platform. The real-time WAN and application monitoring feature helps me monitor WAN link health, latency, packet loss, and application performance, allowing me to quickly identify issues, check which link is affected, and troubleshoot connectivity problems before they impact users on a day-to-day basis. Versa Director has positively impacted my organization by improving centralized management, reducing troubleshooting time, and providing better visibility into WAN and application performance. It has also made managing multiple branch sites more efficient.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Azure Bastion eliminates the need for a jump server by providing secure access to servers without hitting the public network."
"Azure Bastion is preferable because you just switch it on and off you go."
"It is very easy to use as it's in the browser; it is on the menu of the virtual machine, so you just need to type your username and password and you will have a full RDP experience."
"The product's setup is easy."
"It provides all the security to us. Without getting on the internet, we can access our servers. We can access our desktop through our web browser. We don't need to run the mstsc command and login to the VM. All those things are not required."
"The solution acts as a dedicated server and we have implemented multiple software, users can easily access everything from there, and it's a cost-effective solution as we don't want to purchase any servers because everything is on the cloud, which is the main advantage for the company."
"The solution's most valuable feature is that it is easy to use...It is modernized, so I can create complex infrastructures."
"The ability to operate the product with scripting is excellent."
"Versa Director has positively impacted my organization by improving centralized management, reducing troubleshooting time, and providing better visibility into WAN and application performance, and it has also made managing multiple branch sites more efficient."
"Versa Director is the fastest engineering tool and is ideal for use without product management."
"Versa Director has easier customer reports, utilization monitoring, graphic shaping monitoring, configuration, template shaping, and deduplication compared to Fortinet and Cisco."
"Versa Director is a beneficial product for the environment my company has."
"The most valuable feature of Versa Director is analytics."
"I think the most valuable functionality is some of the policy pieces that are quite useful."
"Versa Director's best feature is the ease of configuration and customer and vendor management."

Cons

"When we retrieve that data from the cloud, they require some amount of money. That is the main drawback of this cloud solution. You are charged for retrieving your own data."
"When you have a boot issue on Windows, you cannot use Azure Bastion to fix it. You have to use the Azure console or the VM console, and it is very limited."
"There are some challenges because Bastion is more compatible with Edge but not with the other browsers. As an organization, it doesn't make sense that we have to use only Edge. We should be able to access Bastion over Chrome, Mozilla, or Opera. It should be our choice."
"Azure Bastion does its job. However, it would be nice to have the capability to cut and paste across desktops, similar to old-fashioned Remote Desktop emulation."
"There is room for improvement with AI features. I would like to see integrated AI features with Azure Bastion, especially for connectivity issues."
"While general support is valuable, having a detailed breakdown of the specific issues would contribute to a more streamlined and efficient resolution process."
"Speaking of AI, having Microsoft Copilot in Azure Bastion would be good."
"The solution breaks down sometimes."
"Versa Director's on-prem SD-WAN hardware and SSL VPN software are not integrated, so you have to buy a separate subscription for the SSL VPN."
"It requires some simplification."
"Versa Director's deployment process is not the best."
"Overall, the features of Versa Director are very useful, but I would appreciate more advanced troubleshooting and reporting capabilities to enhance issue analysis and make it even faster."
"I think the one area that could be improved is that there are a lot of features; that is also an advantage but it makes things a little difficult, so I'd like to see some simplification so that there is less bloat."
"Versa could be more AI-oriented."
"What needs improvement in Versa Director is maturity because, from an operating point of view, it's not mature enough. You'll still need to do a lot of research on Versa Director, so if it could mature faster, that would be very good."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is a lower decision point than high-quality security for our organization. Better security comes at a cost, but it's worth it, and that's what we tell our customers."
"It does not save money for us."
"The tool is cheaply priced. I would say that the product is free to use."
"Azure Bastion's pricing is good."
"Having to buy separate licenses for the on-prem SD-WAN hardware and SSL VPN software makes Versa Director very costly compared to other solutions like Fortinet and Cisco."
