Ensures students only have access while on campus but is expensive
It was limited because it was only to support a program. There was some benefits because we didn't have the infrastructure physically, so we would have to buy it. We didn't have to make an investment at the beginning. It has pay-as-you-use pricing. It was good for us. In this Business Intelligence and Analytics program, there are about 15 courses. In 10 courses, they use the cloud infrastructure, different software. They have MySQL database with lots of data. They have to do exercises and and analyze the the data. Basically, they had to do a lot of exercises regarding machine learning. Overall, I rate the solution a seven out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"One of the benefits of this solution is that it's private and secure."
"Provides secure duplication and the option for service webhooks."
"It's running behind a big financial and legal customer, who runs Service Fabric behind a front door, servicing local banking containers on an ISV solution developed internally."
"Azure Container Registry is an easy-to-install, easy-to-configure, and easy-to-deploy solution."
"We like the fact that this is a secure solution, that employs a token-based system, which can be used to manage all the applications under this product."
"The solution has built-in resiliency and replication zone availability so it is very stable."
"The geo-replication features of Azure Container Registry are powerful, facilitating alias connectivity and architecture implementation with private endpoints, while the integration with Azure Kubernetes services ensures reliable deployments."
"The most valuable feature is the zone replication and resiliency, because otherwise you have to build a system, and you need to worry about the resiliency and the backup of those codes."
"We use the the IBM cloud to provide the computing solution for the course."
"The product is efficient and can be used for multiple environments."

Cons

"We have not explored geo-replication features."
"The solution has no areas that need improvement."
"Lacks the option of having access keys stored in a master key vault."
"Implementation needs improvement. We have a lot of open, online sources."
"It should be easier to use. It can have more graphical interfaces to manage containers. At present, the handling or management of the containers is very basic."
"The solution could always improve its security measures with regard to access."
"The security, dashboards, and monitoring system could be improved."
"The accessibility of Azure Container Registry also has room for improvement because the solution is not always accessible 24 x 7. I experienced this three times when the service wasn't responding, so I could not push or pull images, and I had to decommission Azure Container Registry and redeploy it."
"Price should be reduced."
"IBM Cloud Container Registry should improve its API management. One improvement factor could be enhancing the integration capabilities of container registries like Harbor with hyperscaler platforms. While some container registries, like Azure Container Registry and IBM Cloud Container Registry, are tightly integrated with their respective hyperscaler environments, others may lack integration options."
