There are areas in Azure Cost Management that could be improved; sometimes, as a start user or junior developer, if I try to understand which service consumed how much cost and look at different charts in the dashboards, it's difficult to understand which chart is representing what. Those interfaces could be made simpler. I'm not much into analytics patterns, so Azure Cost Management's Cost Analytics feature hasn't particularly helped my organization understand spending patterns.

Great topic subscription monitoring, helpful management, and useful for audits
Addition of more monitoring features to Azure Cosmos DB can be a huge help as we use the same as the main database for our applications. One more thing to note is that their support team was always ready to clear all our doubts regarding the product but we feel that it would be much appreciated if they could share with us the required resources to get new customers like us well-versed in traversing through different modules of the product. These are the very few areas where Serverless360 can be improved.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution helps us diagnose and understand why some resources cost more so that we can fine-tune and reduce the cost."
"It is easy to log in, and everything is graphical so that you can build on the published resources."
"The tool is very stable."
"The best thing about Azure Cost Management is the cost analysis functionality because it provides regular alerts."
"The most valuable feature is that our customers can see their consumption in real time. Even though we have a couple of analytics provided by our company, those are not in real time."
"We find the analytics available via this solution to be very useful, as it allows us to easily see detailed cost information for each of our various subscription elements."
"We use Azure DevOps, and the product helps us understand the cost with the help of the Azure DevOps center."
"We don't actually use the Azure Cost Management features. We have our own capabilities. We put our own technology on top of Azure as Azure doesn't deliver a really good cost optimization, so our customers come to us to enhance what they're potentially doing inside their Azure platform."
"Service Bus topic subscription monitoring turned out to be the most useful for us."
"That is exactly where Serverless360 helped us by bringing in both Service Bus management and monitoring under the same hood."
"It offers all the core capabilities we need to manage and monitor our Azure services."
"Serverless360 transformed the way our organizations manage Azure and hybrid integrations."

Cons

"We would like to see more flexibility added to this solution, such as being able to compare reservations, or compare costs across multiple financial years and report on the reasons for deviation in spend."
"I would like to see some features included for costing and more information about the components of deployment. Sometimes, it's very difficult to match the component with the solution because the descriptions are not very clear."
"The UI is complex, and it should be less so."
"Improved integration with other solutions could definitely be beneficial."
"We need more automation. Otherwise, our clients can't do what they need to do, and, in that sense, the solution doesn't really work for our purposes."
"The dashboard could be improved."
"The tool's pricing should be made cheaper."
"I'd like to see improvements in tracking billing and costs. It would be helpful to have alerts generated by instance and location. We use the cloud for multiple programs, and it's difficult to segregate costs and get budgets from customers. We have to tag each instance, which is time-consuming. Automation and proactive alerts by instance or instance IDs would be beneficial."
"The user interface of Serveress360 could be improved a bit to make the platform even easier to use."
"Addition of more monitoring features to Azure Cosmos DB can be a huge help as we use the same as the main database for our applications."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Customers do not need to pay for the product's license, and the product is free of cost."
"Azure Cost Management comes as a part of other solutions. You need to pay as per your requirement based on the pay-as-you-go model."
"The tool's licensing costs are monthly."
"The subscription fees are primarily tailored to larger enterprises, potentially leaving smaller and medium-sized customers with limited options."
"It's bundled in with the package. I have it as part of the package."
"It's free out of the box."
"The tool's pricing is yearly."
"I think the solution was free initially."
