Unified data platform has improved regulatory compliance but still needs better integration features
It is difficult to say about Azure Stack improvement because I need to revisit and study it again. The pricing is okay, but on the services side, perhaps we need to think about some services, not all. I would not like to see any additional features in the future. To give them more like a 9 out of 10 or 10 out of 10, I think they need to improve on the interface, implementation, configuration, and integration with other products, so I rate them an eight. As compared to AWS, they need to add more features. I would like to see operations and storage features, like AI features or security features.

Quick time to market; great return on investment
Now everything is always changing and getting more performance and getting better and I think that, this is my sense of the answer, I mean, everything is working well, comparing with other products. I don't remember any kind of set down of course or something like that I can mention. That's my understanding, yeah. The Google Anthos business model could improve. As I understand, Google Anthos is not an internal part of the ecosystem. In fact, the Google sales effort and technical team are separated. In other words, the DCP was not voluntarily talking to the GCP. For example, if you need to talk to someone inside GCP about the connection or the integration with Anthos, the person who can help you is not in GCP. You would need to speak with someone inside Google. From the client perspective, this is not good. Overall, the management of the solution could be improved. The initial Google Anthos setup could be improved.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is very easy to learn and apply to other things."
"The product is easy to use."
"It is helpful from a security point of view because we can create our own isolated, private environments that contain virtual networks, and we can put security rules in place."
"The solution's most valuable features are security, configurability, and recoverability."
"The whole package works very well together for identity management, defending endpoints or servers, and the CM."
"The user interface is nice and very simple to use."
"Azure Stack is like a hybrid model with a CI/CD pipeline. The IaaS and PaaS model works well with a hybrid type of connectivity."
"I am very much impressed with Azure Stack, especially regarding security, complete compliance, data sovereignty, and data security."
"The Google Anthos feature I find the most valuable is the easy of use. In Google Anthos, you don't need to move along too many screens and so on. The interface is really helpful and understanding of the tool comes easily."

Cons

"The solution's price is high, and the implementation process is difficult. I would like to see a lower price and simpler implementation for Azure Stack."
"Azure Stack doesn't have all the services available in Microsoft Azure."
"The fact that it is completely integrated into Azure, while positive, is also a downside."
"Azure Stack could be improved with more integration, governance tools, monitor tools, and lift and shift tools."
"From a security perspective, there are certain things which could be improved."
"I would like to see better support for containers."
"The setup for Azure becomes more complex when you have multiple users and multiple organizations using the same solution, but this is to be expected."
"The visibility of its SDN feature needs improvement."
"The initial Google Anthos setup is not easy. Nothing is truly easy in the Google Anthos world."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I don't have a specific feature, my customers use all of the features that are available and the entire stack."
"Azure Stack is cheaper than AWS."
"The people who manage the budgets are satisfied with the solution’s medium pricing, which is neither very expensive nor very cheap."
"The solution is expensive."
"Azure Stack has an annual licensing fee, which is very expensive."
"Azure has a subscription version. It has a pay-as-you-go subscription with a subscription ID. So, you have your particular subscription with an enterprise agreement. There is a dev-type subscription for development and testing. The pricing seems pretty reasonable. The pricing could be per resource."
"Azure Stack is not a very costly tool. The pricing is according to the services we buy. When compared with AWS, Azure is a bit more costlier."
"In terms of costs, it is a standard price, and there is no negotiation."
