Handles large data volumes effectively and offers competitive pricing
There is a lot of improvement required, as we still face some cache issues most of the time, which is a challenge that we expect to see resolved in the future. Additionally, there is some limitation when we are working with a tool, especially regarding In and Out parameters, and I feel that this aspect should be improved going ahead. We face issues with the API side, as Cloud Application Integration cannot handle large volumes; according to the API page, there is a limitation of 500 records or 500 MB. The AI integrated into the Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services solution is called Application Integration, where we still face challenges when dealing with huge volumes, as previously explained.

"The staging and hierarchical features are the most valuable."
"The most valuable features of Informatica MDM are it is cloud-enabled and has all the elements that are supposed to have in terms of MDM as a solution. All the features that are there. It is very well-integrated with any of the SAP and non-SAP applications. It is quite user-friendly. The user experience that you receive in Informatica MDM is quite good."
"Most of our customers were using excel and email-based communication for data access, and these new-age solutions improve efficiency ten times or more."
"The solution is applicable for both technical and business users."
"The most valuable features are that MDM has a very strong master merchant, and it's possible to model all kinds of domains in one solution."
"The feature that allows me to search across the entire organizational database and then look through what objects are in which tables and which locations is quite handy."
"The solution is easier to use compared to the other solutions."
"Data synchronization tasks."

Cons

"I use another program for deduping files. I am not comfortable with the way BCC deduping runs when deduping by full name and address."
"I use another program for deduping files. I am not comfortable with the way BCC deduping runs when deduping by full name and address."
"The tool is quite good overall, but sometimes the number of modules can be overwhelming. If the development interface could be optimized to have fewer modules, it would be greatly beneficial."
"I would like to see more functionality added so that it is a bit closer to how much you can do with Informatica PowerCenter."
"Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog is hard to set up, so this is an area for improvement, e.g. it would be good if they make it easier to set up, because the project was made 80% of the time of the setup."
"We promote our code changes from a lower to a higher environment, which is highly complex when working with a multi-domain MDM like Informatica. This is the biggest obstacle for Informatica MDM, and I think they should change it because that's very time consuming."
"The error information provided is not informative, as compared to Power Center."
"We have seen stability issues with older versions, particularly 6.x and below."
"The only thing that I can imagine that might be improved is how the available transactions verify addresses used. These transactions have a valid end date and must be used within the agreed timeframe."
"The tool should provide a unified user interface to manage the data objects."
