Offers third-party patching feature, good scalability, and enhance endpoint management capabilities
From the perspective of the team that's handling the environment, it's not so user-friendly compared to other solutions, the competitors. We hire new teams from time to time, and they are complaining, look, although BigFix is very robust and cross-platform, it's not so fun to work with. The user interface for the technical teams is not so advanced. It's not so intuitive compared to SCCM, compared to ManageEngine. And this is the fact that they have, with the teams, because they have the rejection. The look and feel of the system are old-fashioned. For new employees, it's less easy to find someone I don't need to educate on how to work with BigFix. Although it's easy, it's not as intuitive as the other solutions, and the functionality of the other solutions is less advanced. Let's summarize: The user interface has to be changed from the perspective of the teams that are managing the product. It's old school.

User-friendly interface simplifies management while performance issues during scanning need addressing
Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business is easy to implement and has a user-friendly interface. It stands out as an antivirus and malware protection solution due to its extensive feeds and resources for antivirus signatures. These capabilities enable effective malware protection. Additionally, it offers scalability as any endpoint added to Active Directory can be easily integrated by Kaspersky Security Center. Its straightforward deployment and ease of management are other valuable features. It does not require an advanced engineer to manage, and resources are readily available online, making it accessible and scalable.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It has improved reliability upon delivery of software and has also helped reduce software expenses. The extensibility of BigFix helps to create custom solutions where we may have considered purchasing something instead."
"BigFix is incredibly fast and accurate in patching, reporting, and remediation."
"Servers are patched more consistently than they have been previously."
"The most valuable point is when you deploy an application, you have to make sure that the application has been deployed to all computers and that is working perfectly. This solution works well at deployments."
"It's very straightforward."
"I would advise someone considering this product to go for it. It's easy to use, cheaper than the value, and there is tons and tons of support from the BigFix community. With almost every challenge we have someone who has encountered it, and you will have a solution right away."
"We are able to go from patching thousands of machines by twenty to thirty people to one person."
"The solution has many useful features. Its main advantage is simplicity - you can do everything from one console, regardless of the task. It supports many operating systems and is scalable to up to 250,000 clients."
"The hardware hardware detection is the most valuable feature. The feature where you can block and unblock mobile devices is also good."
"The main feature of this solution is it is easy to use."
"Some of the most valuable features are the security and the stability, which are great. There are some imperfections, but everything is fine. In general, I think it's one of the best solutions."
"When comparing Kaspersky Endpoint Security to any other solution, Our customers like mostly the reliability, and the ability to defend against viruses, worms, and attacks. It is easy to use and very light on the end-user machine's resources."
"It is very efficient. I like its simplicity."
"First of all, I like that it's perfect against malware threats and behavior analysis along with signature analysis. That's the key point for me."
"We found the installation to be very straightforward and the deployment process to be very fast."
"Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business is easy to implement and has a user-friendly interface."

Cons

"The product should become cloud-based. Also, the peer nesting ability of the product is a little backward."
"While performing integration, we face many issues with IBM solution. We need detailed information about those issues that can help users to mitigate them."
"The self-service application seems to need some work to replace the client UI. There are a lot of pop-ups if you use a baseline as the object that you're setting to a workstation. Unless you're using web UI, the message is not customizable in the user notification."
"BigFix could improve its asset management capabilities to discover assets, including hardware."
"I remember doing restarts a few times. So, making sure that it is rock solid from an executable perspective is important."
"The sub-capacity licensing was a challenge for some of it. We had trouble getting it to calculate right."
"BigFix is actually a little bit on the expensive side in Turkey because of the dollar's exchange rate in our currency."
"I would like to see the Self Service section made more user-friendly."
"Kaspersky needs to improve its security techniques as it has not been in Gartner records for the last two years."
"We've found that sometimes the solution is not doing its job in detecting some malware."
"I rate the pricing five out of ten."
"We have had some problems with it comes to uninstalling it, so you have to make sure that you do everything right."
"It would be nice if it was less expensive."
"A big improvement would be allowing us to reconfigure the agents and change what to whitelist for a specific user. If the user is not happy with the configuration and is being blocked from certain sites, we should be able to reconfigure the monitoring mechanics to make it more flexible."
"I would like to see better-enhanced features, such as protection against ransomware and different types of malicious malware."
"The training provided by the vendor to resellers and end users needs to be improved"

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price is very fair."
"There's not much big cost. We only have to pay the agents' cost for the server, and for the systems."
"You get what we call the Platform Edition, which you get for free. The patch service is maybe $0.50 per workstation per month. Then there's the basic server cost, which is about $1.50 per server per month. You also get into Lifecycle which does power management, OSD remote control, and those types of things, and that might be about 10 times the price - which works out to about $13 per server and, maybe $5 per workstation per month."
"The license is subscription-based."
"The cost is slightly high."
"The product is less costly when compared to other solutions, and this is a good solid solution for what we have paid."
"You are charged per server and per workstation when using BigFix. ManageEngine is a lot cheaper than BigFix. There are some additional costs, such as support."
"Compliance, inventory, and licensing are really pricey. They should lower the price. It discourages users from getting onboard."
"It is quite standard, because we use the volume licensing."
"It's a little more expensive compared to other competitors like Symantec."
"The pricing is a bit more expensive than other products."
"We have approximately 700 licenses for this solution and we pay annually."
"I think the price of this solution is good."
"For licensing, we pay a yearly subscription."
"The cost of the solution is approximately $31,000 for three years."
"Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business' pricing is reasonable, and licensing costs are annual."
