Centralized journeys have streamlined multi-channel customer engagement and personalization
Overall, my experience with Braze has been very positive. If I had to mention areas for improvement, I would say the number of campaigns, canvas segments, and channel growth can become challenging to manage and organize. I would also like to see more flexibility around reporting and analytics, especially being able to easily combine cross-channel data and customize reports without relying on additional data from outside of Braze or data platform teams. Braze has been improving its reporting capabilities, and new reporting and dashboard features are definitely moving in the right direction. Additionally, making complex journeys easier to troubleshoot and maintain would be beneficial. When large canvases have multiple branches and conditions, having strong visibility into why a customer took a particular path would ease things for engineering and marketing teams. There is also a limitation regarding making the platform easier to manage at an enterprise scale, especially with a growing number of campaigns since Braze does not have features such as folders for organization. Regarding improvements, Braze's technical support is excellent, but I see areas where the experience could be smoother. On integration, Braze has a strong set of pre-built integrations and APIs; however, for some complex enterprise systems, integration can require engineering effort. More out-of-the-box connectors and simpler configurations would definitely help. From a UI perspective, while the platform is powerful, navigating and troubleshooting can take time with a large number of campaigns and complex canvases. Apart from that, I find the support extremely helpful overall, so I would not say there are major gaps, just opportunities for making this already strong platform easier to manage at scale. One area I would like to see improvement in is the visibility and troubleshooting experience. When running large-scale campaigns across multiple channels, more detailed end-to-end visibility on user interactions would be helpful, such as tracking when a particular user enters or exits a canvas or whether an issue occurs. I would also like to see ongoing improvements in reporting, particularly making it easier to connect campaign performance to our broader business metrics without extra engineering work. As Braze adds more AI capabilities, I see an opportunity to leverage AI not just for content creation but also for troubleshooting, identifying campaign issues, and explaining performance trends. This would save a significant amount of time for both the marketing and engineering teams.

Improves our marketing efficiency in a consolidated platform, with features such as behavior-based email triggers
Interface and design consistency are my two significant cons for this platform. Like most, once you know the platform and its interface, you can be very successful. There is no difference here except that the design process between creating emails, pages, and forms all have their unique process. I believe it would improve user efficiency if the page and email creator, for instance, had a standard procedure and the same layout of tools. The platform has a lot of features with more coming, so you have to know where all the pieces are between the settings, marketing, and sales menu layout.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"With Braze, it is now really more drag and drop, and marketing managers have the autonomy to create all these campaigns, reducing the time needed from a full week to just two to three days, which makes the work much easier."
"Braze is an excellent tool that covers my main use case."
"Braze can be improved, but honestly, I feel it's a pretty perfect tool."
"Overall, the combination of cross-channel orchestration, real-time triggers, personalization, and experimentation makes Braze very powerful for our marketing use cases and positively fits our organization."
"Segmentation is one of the best features Braze offers in my opinion, along with the ability to utilize the tool in building drip campaigns, drip campaigns off of existing campaigns, and then being able to leverage or pull levers based on real-time metrics."
"Upon my arrival, I have since customized the campaigns based on user attributes, resulting in an increase of about 28% in user opens and a significant click-through rate jump by over 48%."
"I love Braze for their retargeting and automation because their automation tracks down user behavior in near real-time, allowing us to convert users based on their trigger actions."
"The biggest positive impact has been making marketing, CRM, and lifecycle marketing more targeted and scalable."
"We got a 30% increase in email open rates due to relevant targeting, 30% increase in overall leads, 12-15 man-hours savings per week due to automation."
"We can trigger emails and actions based on their behaviors, which is very beneficial."
"With this product, we are able to do so much more with our marketing."

Cons

"I think it's an expensive tool, so from a business standpoint, a lot of people might not be able to justify the cost given how expensive it is."
"One area I think Braze could improve is reporting flexibility."
"Braze could improve the data analysis capabilities."
"Given the higher price than other tools, we would expect in that case the tool to be very fluent, one hundred percent perfect, with no bugs and no latency, and that is not always the case."
"The pricing is tied directly to data points volume, and unoptimized telemetry or redundant attribute tracking can quickly consume contracted allocations, leading to unexpected overage costs."
"If I had to mention areas for improvement, I would say the number of campaigns, canvas segments, and channel growth can become challenging to manage and organize."
"Braze can be improved from a reporting standpoint to include AI, where we are able to integrate it to provide us with real-time insights."
"I found the original format of reporting and analytics in Braze to be easy to use, but not very complete."
"Customer service is good, but the Netcore Smartech team should strive for improving it further. EMM customer service was far better than Smartech customer service as Smartech needs better coordination between Netcore back end teams, which needs to be improved."
"Interface and design consistency are my two significant cons for this platform."
