Offers zero-touch provisioning feature and is very user-friendly
I have used the product, and I haven't found any problem with the tool. The problem with the tool is that its prices are on the higher end. The tool should be made more cost-effective so that anyone can buy and use the product. The product's price is higher than that of other similar brands like Ubiquiti. Cambium should look at the pricing model it offers. Recently, Cambium released Cambium Networks Wi-Fi 7 with just one technology. It is a very outdated technology, and I don't know why it has introduced such a type of technology in 2024. With the new product, I don't know why Cambium has brought in an old technology associated with MIMO. Cambium should design its products more to be like 2x2 MU-Mimo. Cambium also has a product, 2x2 MU-MIMO, that is in the high-price category. In Grandstream and Ubiquiti, products are offered in categories like 2x2, 3x3, or 4x4. In Cambium, the tools have been designed in such a way that the basic model offers 2x2 MU-MIMO. If you need 4x4 MU-MIMO, you need to go with a higher category product, which is very expensive and costlier than the other OEMs in the market. In Grandstream and Ubiquiti, the tools have been designed in such a way that the product lineup is such that the transfer from one model to another model, the pricing gap is about 20 to 30 USD, but in Cambium, it is around 300 to 400 USD to move to the next product, making it an area that should improve. Cambium should design its products within a certain budget. With Cambium, it would be very expensive if I changed from the 2x2 to the 4x4 category. I need to add an additional 400 to 500 USD for the next model of the product.

Offers good performance, good solution and smooth implementation
I do have a suggestion: it would be helpful to have even stronger security features to help protect against interference from other nearby access points that aren't part of our network. If there are access points from other brands installed nearby; they can cause interference and disrupt the range of our Mist access points. So, the security features could be stronger, especially in terms of authentication. The connectivity is excellent, but security needs improvement. In future releases, integrating more AI features would be beneficial. If Mist had stronger AI features, it could provide better security against network threats and cyberattacks. So, this solution still needs to improve its AI capabilities. It would be great if the AI could improve the range of the access points, and auto-protect functionality should be there to avoid interference by other nearby access points and enhance threat detection. In the future, I'd like to see stronger threat detection features integrated with Mist, as well as better detection of nearby access points that might cause interference.

Cons

"We would like this product to have more information data sheets available. At present we cannot easily access details around the full capability of a piece of equipment."
"Cambium Networks Wireless LAN should improve its pricing."
"I believe there's room for improvement in the configuration options for point-to-point setups directly from the cloud management interface. Currently, the process feels a bit clunky—you monitor the unit in the cloud but need to make configuration changes by editing a text file, then downloading it back to the unit. This method can be error-prone, as even a small mistake in the text file could disrupt the unit's configuration."
"Channel management required manual intervention, especially in environments with multiple floors, leading to potential signal interference issues."
"Not a lot of technical engineers are familiar with Cambium Networks Wireless LAN. They are familiar with implementing and using other solutions such as Aruba. Therefore, Cambium Networks needs to be more visible in the marketplace."
"The capacity and coverage could be improved."
"Our areas for improvement would be a refresh with the most recent technology available."
"The solution should be scalable, offering better pricing options as we optimize the network for coverage, capacity, and quality"
"Juniper Mist Wireless Access Points’ support services need improvement."
"I need a bit more time with it before criticizing the features."
"Juniper Wireless AP can improve by continually improving its reporting and integration with other systems."
"Improvement is needed in the user-friendliness of Juniper Mist, particularly in enhancing the interaction with AI features."
"Juniper Wireless Access Points (AP Series) could improve if the MIST platform had a built-in master key. This would be an advantage."
"If you want to do more specific stuff, it's a bit limited."
"There is room for improvement in terms of support and installation."
"Enrolling into the tool is a tedious process."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"In general, the way we purchased it was we purchased it at the beginning, was with five years of support, once our initial cost was met, we didn't have to pay for anything else."
"Cambium Networks Wireless LAN is cheaper than Aruba."
"The pricing and licensing might vary based on each country's specific needs and telecommunication regulations."
"The licensing costs for this solution are calculated per asset, and depending on the model of the equipment, it starts at $230, and goes up to roughly $1,200. The benefit of this solution is that there are no hidden costs; no cost for managing the equipment, and no cost for maintaining the equipment during its usable lifetime."
"I would place it in the mid-range market segment, balancing affordability and profitability."
"It is an expensive product compared to other competitors."
"I rate the product's pricing an eight out of ten."
"Cambium Networks Wireless LAN has a moderate pricing."
"I rate Juniper Mist's pricing a ten out of ten since it is expensive."
"The pricing is too high."
"I rate the product price as a six on a scale of one to ten, where one is inexpensive, and ten is expensive. It is a reasonably priced tool."
"If a customer has a budget of around five lakhs in Indian currency, they can afford Juniper products."
"We pay maybe 1000 SEK per year, per access point."
"The solution is expensive."
"The pricing is something Juniper Wireless Access Points (AP Series) can work on. The pricing is very high compared to the competition."
"Juniper Wireless AP's price is a little more expensive than other solutions, but you get what you pay for."
