Protects our web applications and APIs and has a very low false positive rate
CloudGuard WAF is a very straightforward solution. I do not have to worry about signatures. Most of the solutions that are out there are mainly based on signatures, and I have to do a lot of maintenance to get the signature updates, and sometimes, due to a lack of resources, I am not able to do so. With CloudGuard WAF, I have peace of mind, because most of the features are AI-based, and there is not much configuration that needs to be done on my side. Once set, I only go to CloudGuard WAF to check. I do not have to worry about signatures or updates. Everything is done perfectly, and I have a sense of peace because I know our applications are safe. It is very important for us that CloudGuard WAF protects our applications against threats without relying on signatures. That is definitely one of the key features I need.

Boosts security by automatically blocking applications or activities, but query responses have been slower recently
For the past six months, we have been facing some issues. Because it is a cloud-based infrastructure, it has been getting slower. There are no bugs because they release updates continuously. We highly appreciate that, but during hunting or running a query on different logs, the time frame has increased in the past six months. It takes longer to give us the results. Another issue is the lack of proper documentation. During investigations, there is no proper documentation available. This is a problem because many people are saying there should be proper documentation explaining what CrowdStrike captures from the machine and the meaning of it.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Check Point CloudGuard Network Security helped reduce the cost of ownership for our web application firewall by 50%."
"The integration with other Microsoft products, especially Visual Studio, is seamless."
"I rate it ten out of ten."
"Overall, it's a good solution, and it fulfills all our core purposes, providing complete visibility and security."
"The most valuable features are its ease of use and multiple functionalities."
"I have thousands of exposed websites and APIs. Being able to control what is happening and try to prevent any attack is the best feature."
"With the introduction of AI in general, Check Point CloudGuard WAF provides very high accuracy on the data, allowing me to avoid a lot of false positives and saving me time in determining if what I'm seeing is a possible attack."
"The solution's ability to handle multiple websites and applications without needing more expensive hardware is a key advantage."
"The solution has login features like multi factor authentication."
"The alerts are clearer, and the capabilities are much better than the others."
"There is a lot that it can do, but endpoint protection is the main thing about it. The fact that it uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to monitor and remediate the issues in real-time is probably the bread and butter of the product."
"It provides alerts on suspicious command executions, helping us safeguard our systems."
"CrowdStrike utilizes signatureless technology, eliminating the need for regular signature updates on endpoint systems."
"The initial setup is easy ."
"We like the solution's management and monitoring tools for our network. We use it to monitor our network between workstations and outside our organization. The AI provides useful visualizations of our network on a dashboard."
"The product's initial setup phase is easy."

Cons

"We are satisfied with the product because it does what we need it to do, but one thing that I would like to see improved in the product is the protection of our mobile applications. When I migrate the traffic from our mobile application to CloudGuard, we are not getting what we expected."
"For now, the product is doing all that I need, however, I need the support of IPv6."
"Check Point CloudGuard WAF can be improved; initially, the setup is very complicated, and there's not a lot of documentation available, plus it didn't have something for anti-bot, but other than that, it is fine."
"If the price could come down, I would be very happy with the product."
"They need improved latency in the main window."
"Pricing and licensing are really expensive for this product. While it provides a very good security level, the price for each service is high."
"Cost reduction and trial period extension should be considered with some lucrative discount offerings in buying standard versions."
"I have encountered issues with Check Point CloudGuard Application Security's technical support. It also has missing configuration features."
"It would be more convenient if there was an easier way to install CrowdStrike, perhaps through better integration with Active Directory."
"There is room for improvement in the solution's ability to handle Linux systems."
"For the past six months, we have been facing some issues. Because it is a cloud-based infrastructure, it has been getting slower."
"One area for improvement in Falcon Cloud Security is the support portal."
"Customers would benefit it CrowdStrike adopted some of SentinelOne's technologies."
"The threat intelligence and user behavioral analysis could be more comprehensive."
"It gets the work done, but the main problem with the solution is that if you remediate anything, it takes 45 days for you to get any of the features displayed on the dashboard. This is the real weakness of CrowdStrike. Their customer support is also not ready to help with it. If you remediate any cloud vulnerability that they are giving you, such as removing a host from your organization, it takes around 45 days for them to remove it from their console."
"The CrowdStrike dashboard currently lacks a username field."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The sales team or account managers from Check Point are top-notch. As I am using other products as well, my pricing was competitive compared to others."
"The base solution costs approximately 30,000 euros, with an additional 2,000 euros per year for licenses and support."
"The tool's licensing costs are yearly and competitive."
"I find the pricing to be reasonable."
"Check Point CloudGuard Application Security's pricing is not friendly."
"It is not cheap, but it is worth it."
"The pricing is competitive compared to other solutions on the market. So, the licensing cost is average."
"If the pricing for the Infinity platform covers everything, it would be more straightforward. I had a hard time selling it to our CEO as a former CFO because of the differentials. There are different deltas year to year over a five-year period. It is very difficult to explain. It would be easier to digest for our executives if there was a flatter scale"
"Its price is moderate."
"CrowdStrike Falcon Cloud Security is very expensive for us. Last month, we had a big issue that took much time and money to resolve. It slowed down our business and required our management team to get involved. We had a problem similar to the "Blue Screen of Death" issue many US companies faced. This incident used up many of our IT resources in just a few months. That's why we're looking for a replacement tool now."
"The pricing is fair for what you get. I'd rate them a solid nine out of ten in terms of pricing."
"The pricing is reasonable, neither overly expensive nor excessively cheap, making it competitive compared to other market options."
"CrowdStrike Falcon is very expensive."
"It's an expensive package but does what it says it will do."
"It is expensive, but it adds value."
"I am not the one who handled the pricing. A different team worked on it, but it is pretty expensive."
