Very good disk encryption, secure authentication, and centralized administration
At the time when this tool was launched on the market, it had new technologies integrated within. It was the beginning of the revolution of computing, and at the beginning, with the characteristics, everything was wonderful. However, if we compare it with today's technologies, we see that it is lacking quite a few things, including a nice interface, more functionalities, integrations with third parties, more security administration in policies, and more detailed reports.

Reliable threat protection is achieved while integration and analysis capabilities need refinement
Cisco Secure Endpoint is very good in machine learning, which allows it to secure offline contents even if not connected to the internet. We haven't encountered a single breach after it's deployed. It controls USB devices and has a separate antivirus solution called Tetra, providing security even for real-time, day-zero attacks through its strong Talos threat intelligence platform.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"From the moment we started using Check Point Secure Web Gateway, we realized its great value and ability to take it not only on-premise but also into our cloud-based environment."
"One of the characteristics that give us the most value is that it offers the ability to perform HTTPS inspections."
"At the time when this tool was launched on the market, it had new technologies integrated within."
"Full disk encryption helps us ensure that data stored on a device is encrypted."
"Check Point GAiA is easy to use."
"If you have a Premium Support plan then the technical support is very good."
"I'm only using the AMP (advanced malware protection) which is protecting my file system from all the malicious things that might happen. It should protect all kinds of things that might happen on the servers, things that I cannot see."
"The biggest lesson that I have learned from using this product is that there is a lot more malware slipping through my email filters than I expected."
"The solution's stability is perfect."
"The entirety of our network infrastructure is Cisco and the most valuable feature is the integration."
"It is extensive in terms of providing visibility and insights into threats. It allows for research into a threat, and you can chart your progress on how you're resolving it."
"There are no issues or drops in the solution's performance...The solution's technical support was helpful."
"Definitely, the best feature for Cisco Secure Endpoint is the integration with Talos. On the backend, Talos checks all the signatures, all the malware, and for any attacks going on around the world... Because Secure Endpoint has a connection to it, we get protected by it right then and there."
"The integration with other Cisco products seemed to be really effective. We had Umbrella in place and we were using AnyConnect as well as Firepower. Once a threat was detected, being able to do the threat lookups and the live tracking was really useful."

Cons

"We would maybe want (in the future) advanced security in the filtering of access to the metaverse by augmented reality cameras."
"Overall, this is a good product but it does lack features that we need."
"In the next release of this solution, I would like to see application identity support."
"The installation was quite complex."
"The UI was one of the most difficult points to get used to. Due to the UI, even though it was used every day, the administration was complicated."
"The room for improvement would be on event notifications. I have mine tuned fairly well. I do feel that if you subscribe to all the event notification types out-of-the-box, or don't really go through and take the time to filter out events, the notifications can become overwhelming with information. Sometimes, when you're overwhelmed with information, you just say, "I'm not going to look at anything because I'm receiving so much." I recommend the vendor come up with a white paper on the best practices for event notifications."
"We have had some problems with updates not playing nice with our environment."
"In the next version of this solution, I would like to see the addition of local authentication."
"Pricing can be more expensive than similar software that does less functionality, but not recognized by customers."
"Cisco Secure Endpoint lacks features like DLP which other vendors offer. XDR is new, so integration capabilities with third-party tools need improvement."
"This product has issues with the number of false positives that it reports."
"It is not very stable because we have new versions four times a year, which fixes bugs. We had some problems with some deployments."
"They could improve the main dashboard to more clearly show me the things that I want to see. When I open the dashboard right now, I see a million things and they are not always the things that I need."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"I rate the pricing a five or six on a scale of one to ten, where one is expensive, and ten is cheap."
"Because we do see the value of what it's bringing, I think they have priced it well."
"The pricing and licensing are reasonable. The cost of AMP for Endpoints is inline with all the other software that has a monthly endpoint cost. It might be a little bit higher than other antivirus type products, but we're only talking about a dollar a month per user. I don't see that cost as being an issue if it's going to give us the confidence and security that we're looking for. We have had a lot of success and happiness with what we're using, so there's no point in changing."
"The solution is highly affordable; I believe we pay $2 or $3 per endpoint. It's significantly cheaper than the competitors on the market."
"Pricing can be more expensive than similar software that does less functionality, but not recognized by customers."
"Cisco Secure Endpoint is not too expensive and it's not cheap. It's quite fair."
"The price is very fair to the customer."
"It is quite cost-effective. I would rate it ten out of ten."
