Effective network and DDoS protection with suitable pricing
I use Corero for network DDoS protection projects. It is particularly effective in providing protection against network DDoS attacks I find Corero to be good, especially in a wide area. It does not have application filtering or application DDoS prevention, but for network DDoS projects, it is…

Behavioral analytics and AI automation enhance security and performance
It provides protection for network applications and infrastructure level, and the best part is the behavioral-based detection that Radware provides us, along with real-time signature creation. We also have some applications where we have botnets running, and it provides protection against them. Web DDoS targets the application layer, which is layer seven of the OSI model. For that, we focus on the Web DDoS technique for bot-based attacks because we have many applications where bots are running. We also face many random URL attacks every day, and it protects against malicious or suspicious random URL attacks. It ensures both security and performance. It achieves this by learning behavior patterns and providing protection without blocking normal traffic. These are some of the features I am particularly satisfied with in this product.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature of Corero is its ability to handle smaller attacks in terms of the amount of volume and time. You can handle almost 100 perfect of the attacks locally."
"This is a hybrid solution."
"It is an agnostic and transparent inline platform, which means that the maximum visibility of the symmetric and asymmetric traffic is available, even allowing bidirectional detection of the attack."
"The most important aspect, in general, is that the price is suitable for most clients."
"The DDoS protection features are valuable."
"SmartWall devices occupy only one-fourth of the width of a rack unit, making them very easy to install."
"It is a good solution. Its vendor support is the most valuable. It is simple and works well if you have Juniper MX routers."
"The best feature of Radware DDoS Protection Service is the automation. Previously, manual intervention was necessary, and for incoming attacks, we had to inform the respective security and operations teams, whereas now, it is an automated process that blocks attacks based on policies by default."
"The intuitive user interface makes the entire process seamless and efficient."
"As a service provider, we use the SecOps dashboard feature. That's where we check the time of attacks to see if an attack is happening at the moment or if it has already happened... It is very dynamic and helps us know when an attack occurred, how long it lasted, and what type of attack it was."
"Provides good monitoring and has a user-friendly dashboard."
"I would recommend Radware DDoS Protection Service fully because I have observed improvements in bandwidth speed."
"A valuable feature is the speed of signature updates."
"It has not gone down for a quite long time. It's working fine."
"The DDoS protection that the solution provides is its most valuable feature."

Cons

"Juniper is known in our country, but it is not very popular. There is also not enough information about Corero. Our enterprise and financial sectors don't know about this solution. They need to provide more information and do more marketing for this solution in our country."
"The product must provide more Layer 7 capabilities."
"Lacks international presence."
"It could use support in Spanish."
"The approach taken by Corero is to partner with other organizations in order to address volumetric attacks that cannot be handled by the hardware installed in the infrastructure. Corero does not have a solution for these attacks, so they are looking for partners to help them manage them. This approach is supplemented by local hardware, but the main focus is on the partnerships. It would be beneficial to have a more complete solution."
"Corero needs to improve its application DDoS prevention capabilities and user behavior detection features."
"There needs to be more reporting."
"Radware DefensePro requires a continuous learning process. Using this technology, we can improve our network. Based on the different attack mechanisms, we use Radware DefensePro to provide security for our clients' networks very effectively."
"Its documentation is not 100% clear, making it the weakest aspect of Radware. We have encountered some difficulties in understanding how to configure it correctly."
"The rise of generative AI and machine learning in cyberattacks demands more advanced defense strategies."
"To improve my ability to monitor security events, I would like Radware to strengthen its integration with SIEM for better logging capabilities."
"They should add artificial intelligence to the platform. It is currently missing the machine learning piece."
"We would like to have seven-layer functionality."
"Right now, we have DefensePro 6. The only complaint I have is that SSL inspection, when activated, consumes a lot of resources on the machine. We are currently reviewing a possible change to DefensePro X, the new version, which has a separate module with its processors."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Its price is normal."
"The price of Corero is affordable."
"I rate Radware DefenseFlow's pricing an eight out of ten."
"The price was well over six figures."
"The licensing cost is about $50,000."
"I didn't check pricing of other providers in depth but verified with two, and found Radware to be significantly cheaper compared to F5."
"The pricing is based on the amount of network traffic and the number of packets being inspected."
"Radware's switch to a pay-as-you-go model last year provides great flexibility."
"Its pricing is competitive. The licensing model is also very competitive. It is customizable, so there is no issue at all. They have given us whatever we have asked in terms of the pricing model and SLA."
"The product's pricing is a good value."
