Easy to set up with good behavior-based analysis but needs a single-click recovery option
Most organizations are currently looking for a scheduled scan to meet their compliance needs. Other players like Symantec and Trend Micro, FireEye, et cetera, are still providing the signature-based regular scheduled scans also, which is not available in CrowdStrike. That is one parameter that we feel should be there in CrowdStrike. CrowdStrike is only working on the dynamic or the files under execution. CrowdStrike is not scanning the static files. The product could be more accurate in terms of performance. We'd like to have a single-click recovery option. With some machines getting corrupted by malware, we need an easy way to start with a blank slate if things happen. That one feature should be there in the EDR.

Easy to deploy, scalable, but the UI needs work
We use the solution for LLC merchants, threat advisories, and research The solution is adding a more contextually rich and higher fidelity enrichment to our IOCs. Integration is the most valuable feature. The web front end of the UI is a bit clunky and has room for improvement. I would like a…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The 10 hours a week that we are freeing up from having to manage and monitor our AV solution has really allowed us to focus on other areas of the business. This has been a huge return on investment."
"The solution offers great stability."
"The most valuable feature of CrowdStrike Falcon is its accuracy. That's very important for me. False-positive are very bad for everyone. As we are a financial institution, it's even worse. I like Falcon because it's very accurate."
"The features I like the most are the response time and the dashboard are both excellent."
"It's very easy to set up."
"The most valuable features of CrowdStrike Falcon include Falcon Fusion workflows and endpoint detection capabilities."
"The malware protection is the most valuable feature of CrowdStrike Falcon."
"I like the feature called RTC, the remote time connector."
"Integration is the most valuable feature."

Cons

"A year and a half ago or more, if you put in a support request by email, then it wasn't timely addressed. It could be a day to three days before you received a response, which was a bit frustrating. There was a lot of customer feedback around this issue, which has been greatly refined."
"The dashboard does not have the facility to export the reports in a PDF format, which I can quickly share with internal stakeholders."
"CrowdStrike Falcon could improve the EDR functionality. Once the functionality of the solution improves, it will be even better in the market and able to compete with Carbon Black."
"I think there's an opportunity to enhance the AI or at least the traps to say, if something changes from this baseline, let us know and flag it."
"It can be expensive depending on the features you select."
"Any kind of integration that you want to do, such as using the API to connect to a SIEM, is complex and it will be expensive to do."
"CrowdStrike Falcon could improve by adding manual scanning or serverless scanning. It is not available at this time."
"The solution should have included remote wipe capability out of the box."
"I would like a more universal search."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"CrowdStrike Falcon offers excellent value for the money for our organization, particularly given our lean IT team."
"There are three to four licensing models available to choose from for CrowdStrike Falcon. The price of CrowdStrike Falcon depends on the distributor and the reseller partner. The price we received was good."
"The more endpoints an organization adds the cheaper the cost."
"We pay 40,000 dirhams per 100 users."
"The price is high in comparison to similar brands."
"The price of CrowdStrike Falcon is expensive."
"Annual licensing."
"CrowdStrike is well priced. On a yearly basis, it costs between $60 and $100 per user."
