Provides effective real-time threat detection with potential for cost optimization
Some features such as device control, firewall management, and file analysis are standalone products that we need to purchase separately. If these features came out of the box within the product, it would be much more beneficial for us. Other providers such as SentinelOne include these features in their base product. We attended a CrowdStrike Falcon event where they discussed some shallow AI features, but we cannot see these in our panel yet. We work with different solutions such as Darktrace and SocRadar, where AI features are automatically displayed in our dashboards after release. However, for CrowdStrike Falcon, we cannot see these features.

Easy to deploy, scalable, but the UI needs work
We use the solution for LLC merchants, threat advisories, and research The solution is adding a more contextually rich and higher fidelity enrichment to our IOCs. Integration is the most valuable feature. The web front end of the UI is a bit clunky and has room for improvement. I would like a…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It helps us to identify the threats according to the behavior of any process that is running on any particular system. It helps immensely to identify any malicious behavior on any endpoints."
"It has an extremely low footprint, so it has got minimum impact on the user end points in terms of CPU and memory usage."
"The most valuable aspects of CrowdStrike Falcon for me are its device observability, identification, and software and OS recognition."
"CrowdStrike Falcon's scalability is good. We have thousands of students using this solution."
"The detection is very reliable. Also, OverWatch is a great feature."
"I like the overall reports of this solution. They are crisp, and to the point."
"The real-time analytics aspect of CrowdStrike performs well because we get all logs in real-time, with no delay, allowing us to take action immediately."
"It is an easy product to deploy."
"Integration is the most valuable feature."

Cons

"CS Falcon sensing capabilities for non-domain machines should be enhanced since the agent doesn't detect the neighbor's IP Address and/or any anomaly which was identified in the network for the non-domain machine."
"The pricing is a bit too high."
"Sometimes CrowdStrike changes the GUI, and they need to be better at informing us and providing guidance concerning that."
"The technical support team often just replies to an issue with a link to an article rather than actually calling back and talking to someone and making sure the problem is solved. To me, that's kind of weak."
"For further improvements, I can only think of one example because this is very important for us; they could reduce the price. Then it would deserve a rating of seven."
"During these two years with CrowdStrike Falcon, I certainly faced some problems, including the known CrowdStrike outage, which was quite pinching and brought many of the Windows-related services to a halt just because of one bad configuration push from CrowdStrike tracks."
"Unfortunately, native applications are not supported."
"Threat prevention should be their first priority, and false positive reductions are needed."
"I would like a more universal search."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I'm not directly involved in sales, so I can't comment on the exact price, but I know the price decreases the higher the quantity we purchase."
"This solution has a very competitive price."
"I would like them to further reduce the price, because it is quite pricey at the moment."
"The pricing of CrowdStrike Falcon is competitive."
"CrowdStrike is well priced. On a yearly basis, it costs between $60 and $100 per user."
"With respect to pricing, my suggestion to others is to evaluate the environment and purchase what you need."
"The tool is a little bit expensive compared to other products, but I think it's okay owing to its quality."
"In my opinion, the pricing of CrowdStrike Falcon seems aggressive."
