Provides effective real-time threat detection with potential for cost optimization
Some features such as device control, firewall management, and file analysis are standalone products that we need to purchase separately. If these features came out of the box within the product, it would be much more beneficial for us. Other providers such as SentinelOne include these features in their base product. We attended a CrowdStrike Falcon event where they discussed some shallow AI features, but we cannot see these in our panel yet. We work with different solutions such as Darktrace and SocRadar, where AI features are automatically displayed in our dashboards after release. However, for CrowdStrike Falcon, we cannot see these features.

Easy to deploy, scalable, but the UI needs work
We use the solution for LLC merchants, threat advisories, and research The solution is adding a more contextually rich and higher fidelity enrichment to our IOCs. Integration is the most valuable feature. The web front end of the UI is a bit clunky and has room for improvement. I would like a…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The CrowdStrike Falcon dashboard is good, and we haven't had any problems with it."
"The ability to remote into other devices for investigation and the way it presents a graphical representation of the detection, like the parent-child process, are valuable features."
"The most valuable features in CrowdStrike Falcon are the full EDR with antivirus, hunting, reporting, and RTR remote control."
"The most valuable feature of CrowdStrike Falcon is its accuracy."
"CrowdStrike Falcon has a ransom detection time of less than 50 seconds."
"CrowdStrike Falcon's most valuable features are the lightweight agent which has absolutely zero performance issues. There is no performance deterioration on the laptop on the network. It is a signature-less antivirus and anti-malware solution, it doesn't depend on signatures which better protects the systems."
"The solution's reporting console is phenomenal, and I can get a lot of data out of it."
"The 10 hours a week that we are freeing up from having to manage and monitor our AV solution has really allowed us to focus on other areas of the business. This has been a huge return on investment."
"Integration is the most valuable feature."

Cons

"It can be expensive depending on the features you select."
"It would be nice if they did have some sort of Active Directory tie-in, whether that be Azure or on-prem. Sometimes, it is difficult for us to determine if we are missing any endpoints or servers in CrowdStrike. We honestly don't have a great inventory, but it would be nice if CrowdStrike had a way to say this is everything in your environment, Active Directory-wise, and this is what doesn't have sensors. They try to do that now with a function that they have built-in, but I have been unsuccessful in having it help us identify what needs a sensor. So, better visibility of what doesn't have a sensor in our environment would be helpful."
"The current database schema presents challenges and has potential for improvement."
"We would like to be able to perform on-demand scanning, rather than relying on the scheduler."
"In CrowdStrike, with the variety of security tools available, learning the different query languages can be challenging."
"We have had to open a case with the technical support to get some issues and bugs resolved."
"We can do a threat analysis of any machine at any time, but that threat analysis is very limited."
"The Integration with tools, SOC tools, could be better."
"I would like a more universal search."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Our company pays approximately US$ 65,000 annually for 900 machines."
"We have a yearly subscription and find the price to be good. I'd give it a rating of four out of five for price, we got a good discount."
"There are approximately a hundred different modules you have to purchase, depending on what you want to do. I have most of the modules. How it works is you buy the portfolio, you have to decide all the components you want in it, and then they price out a bundle for you. I have almost all of the package features in my bundle. You only need to pay for the modules you want."
"This solution offers annual subscriptions. The pricing for this solution could be reduced."
"CrowdStrike Falcon is more expensive than other EDR solutions with similar features."
"Different components are additional price points. We got the components that were right for us, but other organizations may require more (or less) components to suit their needs."
"I do not have experience with the cost or licensing of the product."
"The pricing could be reduced. If it was more reasonable that would be great."
