Provides effective real-time threat detection with potential for cost optimization
Some features such as device control, firewall management, and file analysis are standalone products that we need to purchase separately. If these features came out of the box within the product, it would be much more beneficial for us. Other providers such as SentinelOne include these features in their base product. We attended a CrowdStrike Falcon event where they discussed some shallow AI features, but we cannot see these in our panel yet. We work with different solutions such as Darktrace and SocRadar, where AI features are automatically displayed in our dashboards after release. However, for CrowdStrike Falcon, we cannot see these features.

Easy to deploy, scalable, but the UI needs work
We use the solution for LLC merchants, threat advisories, and research The solution is adding a more contextually rich and higher fidelity enrichment to our IOCs. Integration is the most valuable feature. The web front end of the UI is a bit clunky and has room for improvement. I would like a…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"At this point what is most valuable is the interface, which is easy to navigate."
"The most valuable feature is that we don't need to re-image machines as much as we had to."
"The endpoint and server management are the most valuable features of CrowdStrike Falcon."
"I have found the connection to search the hosts for detections very useful in CrowdStrike Falcon."
"The solution has improved my organization by automating the detection and reporting of unwanted applications so we're aware of them and can respond appropriately."
"The solution can scale easily."
"The EDR is amazing and ease of integration with Splunk is a big plus. Integration with BigQuery is also a plus for me and workflow creation is easy. Overall, CrowdStrike Falcon is a great product."
"The most valuable feature is the activity dashboard because it gives you a holistic view of your environment from a security standpoint."
"Integration is the most valuable feature."

Cons

"The KDR solution is immature. They do not have much preemption in ITDR. Threat prevention should be their first priority, and false positive reductions are needed."
"During these two years with CrowdStrike Falcon, I certainly faced some problems, including the known CrowdStrike outage, which was quite pinching and brought many of the Windows-related services to a halt just because of one bad configuration push from CrowdStrike tracks."
"I've found that CrowdStrike's technical support could benefit from increased technical expertise."
"I would love to see more investment in Insight because CrowdStrike have an opportunity to potentially displace some of the vulnerability management vendors with the visibility they can see over time. I want to see them continue to evolve, e.g., what other things can they disrupt which are operational things we have to continue to do as an organization."
"The dashboard area must be improved. We have integration with Splunk, and we are creating a dashboard there. Their dashboard area must be up to date. It should have more details and more options to create the reports and things like that."
"CrowdStrike Falcon by itself does not supply in-depth reporting."
"The price is too high."
"CrowdStrike Falcon could improve by adding manual scanning or serverless scanning. It is not available at this time."
"I would like a more universal search."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price is too high."
"As I'm part of the technical team, not the budgeting team, I don't have information on CrowdStrike Falcon pricing."
"Crowdstrike Falcon is relatively cheap."
"I'm not directly involved in sales, so I can't comment on the exact price, but I know the price decreases the higher the quantity we purchase."
"CrowdStrike Falcon is more expensive than other EDR solutions with similar features."
"The solution isn't very costly; it's affordable."
"The price of CrowdStrike Falcon could be better. It is very expensive, we pay approximately $900 per month for the licenses. There are not any additional fees."
"Our company pays approximately US$ 65,000 annually for 900 machines."
