Secures critical infrastructures with essential user session audit records
A potential area for improvement is enhancing support for cluster environments and distributed Vaults. Clients in multiple countries that need central access have different challenges that require better solutions from CyberArk. For financial services, CyberArk can improve incident response by ensuring fast support for critical priority tickets to meet compliance requirements. Providing more documentation on CyberArk is recommended for new team members to enhance their troubleshooting capabilities. I understand it's up to the client, but 99% fail to change the demo key, so it's crucial for CyberArk to emphasize changing the key and documenting it as part of the installation process.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"CyberArk has a lot of modules."
"Password Vault's policy configuration is very good - when you receive an attack, you can segment the structure of the project in order to isolate parts or users."
"The privileged support manager is the most valuable feature of CyberArk Enterprise Password Vault."
"You can gradually implement CyberArk, starting with more easily attainable goals."
"Initial setup was very easy; we started integrating systems and providing access to systems within a few days."
"This solution is quite stable."
"We have demoted a lot of domain admins and taken a lot of that away from people, giving it a shared account structure."
"The AI capabilities, including advanced threat detection features, are very helpful for us. They reduce human effort and errors, allowing us to quickly identify and respond to threats."
"Easy to enter and track licensing, a history of successful and failed attempts, easy for the users, and low cost."
"Customer Service: Very good. Technical Support: Excellent."
"It’s an excellent solution, with great security."

Cons

"The initial setup was somewhat complex, but we received help from the product support team with the installation."
"The native PSM components are really good, however, if you have to apply environmental tweaks to an application launch, custom AutoIt scripts are needed."
"The technical support is very poor."
"If we actually implement agent AI in CyberArk Privileged Access Manager, it will check the logs, and if any errors are coming, it automatically triggers alerts and gives the solution."
"We found a lot of errors during the initial setup. They should work to improve the implementation experience and to remove errors from the process."
"The solution's architecture could be improved. It requires installation on four to five different servers. Each server has a purpose, but when you need to troubleshoot, it can be difficult because you need to access each of them. Reducing the number of servers would be helpful."
"It is very complex and difficult to set up the solution."
"CyberArk could enhance its usability by simplifying its architecture and design."
"They could include a deployment mechanism."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Pricing is a problem. CyberArk is expensive compared to other products I know. It is similar to buying a German car. It comes with all the bells and whistles, but some companies may find it too expensive."
"The price of CyberArk support could be a little bit less. Otherwise, pricing is fine."
"CyberArk DNA is free if you purchase the CyberArk solution. There is no additional charge for CyberArk DNA, which is great."
"It costs us around $200 per user."
"CyberArk Privileged Access Manager is more expensive than its competitors, such as BeyondTrust, Delinea, and ManageEngine PAM360."
"They have two types of licensing: purchase and subscription. You have to pay for each admin user, such as Microsoft admin, mail admin, database admin, etc."
"Pricing and licensing depend on the environment."
"CyberArk is one of the best PAM solutions and one of the most expensive, but it works better than the others, so the pricing is fair."
