Easy to set up, simple to use, and quite secure
We primarily use the solution for a personal secondary backup The solution is easy to use. So far, the performance has been good.  It offers a very easy setup. The integration capabilities have been good. It's very stable and quite secure.  I cannot speak to any particular areas of improvement.…

Provides full visibility into user activity and ensures secure end-to-end access across critical systems
In CyberArk Privileged Access Manager, I see room for improvement as I am working in the on-premises networks, and now we are also having the cloud-based PAM. So there, everything is maintained by the CyberArk Privileged Access Manager team, and we are only maintaining the PSM servers. So it is already upgraded from the on-premises network to the cloud network. If you ask me what we can implement beyond that, I just need a few minutes to think about what new things, because it is already an end-to-end security on-premises itself. Now, when it comes to PCloud, Privileged Cloud, it is more secure than the on-premises networks because most of the things are handled using the cloud itself. So it is an already upgraded version; we do not need to implement something new. But if you think in that way, we can have a chance to implement our things. If anything could be improved in CyberArk Privileged Access Manager, I think we could build a small agent AI in my team, we could give access to these logs—the Vault logs, PSM logs, and CPM logs. Whenever the system is going down, the AI will automatically check. If we actually implement agent AI in CyberArk Privileged Access Manager, it will check the logs, and if any errors are coming, it automatically triggers alerts and gives the solution. That is the best improvement I can think of because these days, most things are done by agent AI. So if we also implement this agent AI in CyberArk Privileged Access Manager, we can add more features.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Dashlane's most valuable feature is Hotspot Shield, the VPN feature that allows you to connect securely to public wifi."
"The synchronization is the solution's most valuable feature; it works really well, and the ability to have secure notes is also very helpful."
"The integration capabilities have been good."
"I like the ability to share passwords without them being visible to other team members, and the auto-fill capabilities are great too."
"The solution is easy to use, the performance has been good, the integration capabilities have been good, and it is very stable and quite secure."
"CyberArk has helped us to identify, store, protect, and monitor the usage of privileged accounts."
"The most valuable feature of the solution stems from the fact that it's the best in the market. I haven't seen any other PAM solutions better than CyberArk Enterprise Password Vault."
"It has a centralized page where you can manage everything. This makes work easier. You don't have to remember different module URLs or browser applications. It is very easy to get all the secure identities of other environments into a single page, which is very important for us as it helps a lot in terms of operations, e.g., reduces management time. This is a single page where you can manage all accounts and onboard them to the CyberArk. You can then secure and see passwords from everywhere. So, there is a single pane of glass where you can manage all the identities across environments as well as across different types of identities."
"The automatic password management is the most important feature. The second most important feature is the ability to enforce dual control on the release of those passwords. The combination of these two features is the most important thing for us because we can show that we're in control of who uses any non-personal account, and when they do so."
"We found the initial setup to be easy."
"There are no issues with scalability, and our clients are very happy to use the product."
"Lessens the risk with privileged access."
"CyberArk is one of the best PAM solutions and one of the most expensive, but it works better than the others, so the pricing is fair."

Cons

"There should also be an easier way to be able to transfer user data to other users who have kind of left the company. It could be a little bit cheaper."
"The integration with the VPN feature could be smoother."
"The cost, while decent, of course, could always be less."
"It would be nice to have the solution localized in Europe. Dashlane is an American company. It's controlled by American laws and regulations that allows the American government to have full access to my data with Dashlane. That's why I am leaving Dashlane, because we can't accept such an important function in American control."
"It is complicated to deploy for Windows servers compared to other vendors."
"The greatest area of improvement is with the user interface of the Password Vault Web Access component."
"As they grow, the technical support is having growing pains. One of the things is just being able to get somebody on the phone sometimes."
"This is where we have had some woes with this software."
"It can be integrated with other systems, but it is not easy to integrate. It takes too long to integrate it. Its integration should be easier and simpler."
"Our DevOps team is looking in the direction of cloud, because we are not in it today. We are hoping to build it with Conjur from the ground up."
"Initial setup was complex and time-consuming but the later versions are a lot faster to implement."
"I think having a distributed architecture would certainly help this solution."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is a little bit on the expensive side."
"Its price is high. I have also worked with Delinea. CyberArk is comparatively expensive compared to other PAM solutions, such as Delinea, especially during renewal."
"From a client perspective, CyberArk's pricing is fair but there is a significant increase each year. They should limit the price increase because this could potentially drive customers to other partners. Price changes should be at defined intervals. There should not be sudden jumps."
"Compared to other solutions, it is costly."
"I rate the tool's pricing an eight out of ten."
"It's per-company, license-based."
"Cost efficiency is the number one thing that can be improved in my mind. This would change lots of companies minds on purchasing the product."
"CyberArk DNA is free if you purchase the CyberArk solution. There is no additional charge for CyberArk DNA, which is great."
"The price of this solution is expensive."
