Cloud-based protection has simplified daily client support and keeps threats under control
The problems that we are facing with policy adoption include slow adoption, as it takes more than five minutes to adopt policy on client computers. ESET Network Attack Protection sometimes helps in reducing network-level intrusions, but sometimes it prevents local devices on the network, which are well-known and good devices, from being recognized, treating them as a threat. So it requires more administration than usual. ESET could implement a good solution for remote support in ESET Endpoint Protection Platform for improvement in the future. Since you have the cloud console, ESET could have something similar to AnyDesk or TeamViewer, but from ESET.

Ease of application management and feature richness impress
With Sophos Home, it's easy to implement; you just log in and manage the various computers as to what you want to detect. You can set up the type of security you want and reject things such as firearms, drugs, and porn, so I find it's very easy to use, very reasonably priced, and they give you Sophos Home for free when we use some of the other products that they recently changed over on the commercial side. I really don't have much comment on the banking protection or keylogger security feature, but I do realize that Sophos Home is good protection for us, and I'm just about to install a Sophos hardware firewall in our company as well.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable features for me in ESET Endpoint Security are the antivirus feature and detection."
"I'd recommend the solution. The security is good and it's easy to install even on an enterprise level."
"The tool protects everything."
"This solution has a traditional antivirus, I believe that signature-based detection is most valuable."
"It has been working fine, it lets you know when it finds things, we didn't have any incident where the place had to shut down or was taken over by anything, and we haven't had any issues that we know of."
"I'm an end-user; from my experience, it's been solid, thorough, and transparent behind the scenes."
"ESET is recognized as one of the best in the security field, providing a high level of security while the ERA Web Console increases productivity because we can do all we need to do with clients from one central place with plenty of options for those clients."
"We are managed risk providers, a MRSP, and we have a partnership with ESET, which is a good solution and perfect for small and medium-sized organizations."
"The tool's most valuable feature is ransomware protection. Its integration with other Sophos security products is good, and the AI features have made it an efficient product."
"With Sophos Home, it's easy to implement; you just log in and manage the various computers as to what you want to detect."

Cons

"I saw a bunch of false positives which need to be fixed."
"ESET Endpoint Security could improve EDR integration."
"They need to improve the FW part and, of course, ESET ERA Server."
"I think the product support is very bad."
"Pricing for ESET Endpoint Security could be lower because here in Hungary, it's expensive."
"In the future, a cloud version of the solution would be great."
"The solution should offer more security surrounding blacklisted websites."
"ESET's updates are mostly manual. That's my biggest concern. I'd like it to be more automatic. I've had to download the new version and run it manually to install it. I've got several workstations like that right now."
"For homeowners, determining ROI is challenging. With personal emails or maybe a few business emails, if you don't get hacked, then you're good."
"I expect an improvement with mobile integration. I want mobile devices to have better security, like Sophos Home's total security. Users often need to connect to a cloud platform to manage or change settings, which can be difficult. To improve this, providing minimal local settings could help users."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is not expensive; the pricing model is fine."
"Pricing of ESET Endpoint Security is within the market pricing."
"It is not expensive, but it is also not inexpensive."
"ESET is perfect, if you can afford it."
"The pricing is pretty good."
"The cost is a very reasonable. When compared with other products, the price is low (though not very low)."
"I rate the product's price as seven or eight on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
"I pay about $100 a year, so it's really cheap. I'm sure that if I need something else beyond more technical support, I'll need to pay more."
