Protects against threats and helps with ransomeware but needs optimization for lower resource usage
We are using ESET products for our clients, especially for entry-level protection tools. The demand for these tools is primarily coming from our clients, and we sometimes propose them to our clients as well We install the product in a standard way as a product. The primary purpose is to protect…

Central console streamlines patch monitoring and device management effortlessly
WithSecure Elements Endpoint Protection is good and easy to set up. I provide an installation file for every client through my domain controller and GPO, and it works properly. We have faced no incidents with viruses or network breaches, and it's easy to monitor patches. I can use remote desktop from the central console. The solution also saves my time because, being the only one handling it, I can monitor all devices easily.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Ransomware protection is embedded in the solution."
"They do a program where you can renew for three years. It's very reasonable, as far as the cost per year, because you can renew for three years. They will also do multiple computers, so I actually protect all my family computers, as well as my work computers, all under one license. This means I only have to deal with re-upping my license once every three years. That's the big thing for me."
"I would say that this solution has the best support team in this kind of Endpoint protection product."
"The tool protects everything."
"It's a very user-friendly product."
"ESET Endpoint Security is stable, I did not have any issues with it."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the protection itself, which works well for us."
"There are some great features in ESET Endpoint Antivirus when you are browsing on the internet. For example, they have a notification if within your LAN network something is suspected to be a threat. Additionally, the malware features are very good."
"Both incoming and outgoing traffic is protected."
"We use the product for detecting network vulnerabilities and for software update purposes."
"F-Secure is useful for keeping user machines up-to-date by pushing out security and critical updates."
"There is a layer of security to prevent a malicious agent (malware) from interrupting or stopping services, deleting or modifying registry entries or even stopping the antivirus from acting, ensuring that there will be no interruption of protection."
"WithSecure Elements Endpoint Protection is good and easy to set up."
"The most valuable features of WithSecure Elements Endpoint Protection are the clear useful portal and overall company protection."
"On the cloud management page, the solution scales up very highly."
"The notifications and patch management features are valuable."

Cons

"While the pricing is good, they could always lower it a bit."
"The stability needs to be improved. There are bugs that you have to deal with."
"If I were in an environment that required a large-scale deployment then I would choose another solution over ESET."
"We do get false positives."
"The tool needs to explore security possibilities to secure iOS and Mac devices."
"The solution can improve the modules, and it is lacking centralized management and visibility of the endpoints."
"I'm not aware of any areas that need improvement."
"ESET Endpoint Security could improve EDR integration."
"The solution could improve by having more real-time responses. For example, when a license gets removed from a computer it does not update the records of the change. Additionally, when I installed Microsoft Windows Defender I was not able to send licenses through email to our tenants. The integration with other solutions could improve."
"There could be a dedicated security partner with essential knowledge."
"There is no technical support available in the Middle East."
"Resource consumption is suboptimal and could be improved."
"But the biggest one for us is patch management because this has been our top priority when looking at alternatives. Every solution needs to have patch management, if that's possible. It would cut costs on our side if that feature were included, so we don't need to pay for two separate pieces of software."
"The program and cloud service management is in English. It's not a problem for me, however, it might be for users who don't speak English or use it regularly."
"One problem is that the solution takes too much RAM from the client."
"I would like the part of Hash Analysis by external sources to be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The cost is a very reasonable. When compared with other products, the price is low (though not very low)."
"The price of ESET Endpoint Antivirus is fair compared to the performance of other solutions."
"This is not an expensive product."
"The price of the solution is reasonable compared to competitors."
"Pricing per month, for security services as apps in CEE pricing: up to €2 monthly is OK."
"The solution costs around $20 or $30 per user per year."
"The solution's license is moderately priced."
"ESET is perfect, if you can afford it."
"The cost of the solution depends on the size of the company and where the licenses are being ordered from."
