Has supported project lifecycles with design-first workflows and streamlined developer collaboration
The area of Figma I would prefer to see improved is the responsiveness of the developer tool. When you enable it, you can extract variations, but these variations are not responsive. If I design a page, and there's a way to choose a view, whether it is on mobile or tablet, which then automatically converts it to the responsive layout of the page I design, that would save considerable time. If I design for tablet view, and it automatically adjusts for mobile and different screen variations at the click of some drop-downs, that would be beneficial. Additionally, when we extract code, if it can provide variations for all different types in a responsive way using REM to adjust to different screen sizes and breakpoints, that would be extremely useful to have.

Visual collaboration has improved remote workflows and supports faster shared decisions
The best features Lucidchart offers are that it diagrams processes very well. It allows for project management to help with client timelines. It is also easy to use and create diagrams, especially mermaid diagrams. Collaborating is easy. Out of all those features, collaboration stands out to me the most because it is easy to share with team members to do joint design work. Lucidchart has positively impacted my organization by improving productivity and collaboration. In terms of specifics, collaboration helps us come to conclusions. I notice better throughput as it is easy to use. Improved productivity allows us to express ourselves more quickly.

Pros

"I would recommend Figma to other users because I definitely think it is the industry standard."
"The platform is scalable for small—to medium-sized enterprises."
"The way you can create templates is probably most helpful because it gives us a way to very quickly play around and test ideas and different types of layouts."
"Figma is very user-friendly compared to Adobe XD, and the overall design community was moving towards Figma."
"I decided to switch to Figma because it is quick and seamless for my web design use cases."
"At the end of the day, I feel that I do not really have to leave the tool to do all this creative work, because I can get from the idea to a working prototype on Figma without thinking about any other tool."
"Figma, in addition to being light, has very good performance and hardly has bugs."
"It is challenging to identify downsides of Figma because for web design, it is the best tool available."
"I love the simplicity and how clean all the different boxes, arrows, and charts can be. Especially with something complicated like our sales flow, it could be really easy to be all cluttered and everything like that, but my favorite feature is how clean it is, how straightforward it makes our flow look, and how easy it is to understand. Lucidchart accommodates both Mac and PC users which is important to us because at my company right now, our sales floor and then every other computer we have as a company is a Mac, but a lot of our employees actually have PCs and Android as well. So it's really beneficial because if we're ever on the go or we need to make a change, it's versatile and is open for both Mac and PC."
"The interface is really good and it is very easy to use."
"With Lucidchart, I can create the whole process flow within a day, and when I show it to the developers, they can understand within five minutes."
"The templates are good, they eliminate creating something from scratch and allow me to create from a framework, which saves time and makes documenting processes and systems really easy."
"Lucidchart is a free application and it is very helpful for documenting processes and workflows."
"Lucidchart helped us to realize efficiencies in the projects we use it for. I can show people pictures, and I can change things in a meeting and then email it by the end of the meeting. Because most places we go, especially now with everybody in-home office, I'm going to have great internet access, and that just makes it easier to be able to change things quickly while we're in a meeting and go, "Oh, you changed this. Oh, okay.", and then send it to them as a proof and send it as a PDF or send them a link. That works great. That saves time and accelerates a sale."
"Its capabilities for visualizing and understanding these types of workflows are really good."
"The collaboration, hands-down, is the top feature. It is valuable because our company doesn't believe in working in silos... While I may be the one leading the efforts, it's very important that my team gets buy-in on decisions being made when we're designing. It's critical, especially in this virtual environment, when we're not in an office to have a team meeting and able to whiteboard something. Lucidchart is an extremely useful tool for our team."

Cons

"Figma could be made more user-friendly."
"There is one aspect of Figma that needs improvement."
"The disadvantages of Figma compared to Adobe are the capabilities when searching for plugins; we often need to rely on external ones, and it takes time to read documentation because the prototyping protocol is not very clear."
"In the free version, because we are designers, we don't always have access to the paid version. While the pricing is totally fine for paid workspaces, the free version needs better security locks so other users cannot duplicate content."
"I have noticed that in the middle of each year, some glitches occur with Figma. Around October or September, when configurations are happening and new features are being released, I experience glitches, crashes, and various issues."
"There are a few things Figma needs to improve upon, particularly regarding the types of images it can import."
"I would rate the stability at about six; quite a few bugs occur."
"Figma is costly, especially when sharing with others as you have to upgrade your plan."
"Lucidchart subset their older components or something like that had happened. I don't entirely know the totality of it, but we were forced to upgrade to a different integration with Lucid than what we had. I've had a lot of frustrations with that because I've lost a lot of diagrams. I can't get them back and I'm getting pop-ups that are showing me that our data will be loading and I can't run four or five years of my engineering diagrams"
"Additionally, it could improve offline accessibility or performance under low internet conditions, as I remember working on a workflow diagram in a car where I lost my network connection, and the entire diagram I had been working on disappeared."
"I'd prefer this software to be an operating system, not a web tool, as I'd switch to LucidOS, if it existed, in seconds."
"The communication with sales has been pretty poor. They have been spotty in terms of response. So far, that has been our problem with it. We were in contact with one of their representatives, but he just kind of disappeared one day and we couldn't find him anymore. He has not been responsive to email."
"When my colleague initially tried to edit the file that I shared with him, he had some trouble. This is something that should be improved."
"Adding dark mode would be a great improvement for Lucidchart."
"There is a premium for the use of certain elements in Lucidchart... It becomes very annoying, especially if you are a first-time user of Lucidchart and you don't have a premium plan. It feels a little too restrictive, in terms of using very basic shapes and icons. It asks you to sign-up for the premium account, which I think shouldn't be the case."
"It can have more colors or graphics. Currently, it is a little boring. It can have a little bit more fun factor."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Sigma's pricing is reasonable and accessible for both small and large firms."
"I was using the paid version, but at $12 USD per month, I canceled the plan because it was a little bit too expensive for me."
"Its pricing is very affordable and reasonable for the features that it provides. I am using its basic plan, and for my usage, it is perfectly reasonable. It suits perfectly."
"The licensing is pretty cost-effective but I haven't considered it on an enterprise level."
"Pricing comes in at about $100 for a year's subscription, which is very reasonable if this is a tool that you will use more than once."
"I have a subscription as an individual user for one year, and it is not expensive."
"I have only used the trial version and have not yet paid for it, or explored the pricing options."
"The pricing is very reasonable, and they have a free trial available that you can play with."
"At €167 per user per year, the pricing is slightly higher than Visio, but it's worth it."
