Fast and secure deployments simplify operations for government and fintech clients
It is a fast and secure DNS. It is very easy to deploy, and my customers are happy with this tool. Additionally, the CDN performance in Mexico is excellent, providing fast service and tools. It offers reliability during high-traffic periods, ensuring no impact on the environment. It helps my clients avoid using on-premise boxes, simplifying operations as they only use the prices on Cloudflare.

Data protection and feature-rich capabilities have improved with room for reducing false positives
Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention is a good product that provides deep fingerprinting capabilities in data exploring and data discovery. They have an excellent feature for discovering data automatically through policies available in their portal, and they excel in data discovery and classification. The solution offers database fingerprinting, file fingerprinting, and script-based policies, along with automatic data discovery exploration. Fingerprinting automatically discovers customer data in our database and, based on sensitivity, detects and blocks the data if someone attempts unauthorized access. Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention is a web threat security product offering content inspection and URL filtering with built-in DLP capabilities. It proactively identifies web-based threats using tools such as advanced classification, browser isolation, and malware detection. Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention's solution focuses on internal risks and monitoring user activity to identify abnormal behavior, offering forensic tools such as login and video replay to understand intent. Data classification is an advanced tool we have used for classifying our data. The main feature is AI-powered, called DSP. The classification capability leverages a distributed AI architecture feature and GenAI small language models to classify both structured and unstructured data. It supports 50 file types and continuously improves accuracy with user feedback, enabling auto-discovery across cloud, endpoint, and on-premises data stores without extra cost of repeated scans.

Has provided strong data protection capabilities while offering valuable policy customization options
I find unique value in McAfee Total Protection for Data Loss Prevention specifically in controlling the application from a DLP perspective; when a computer downloads a package, you can understand where it downloaded this package from, and you can create a policy regarding the source of the download. This is actually an important and valuable feature, specifically in enterprises where they download, upload, and export critical reports from their business applications. I appreciate the customized policy features in McAfee Total Protection for Data Loss Prevention because we didn't find these features in other competing applications. This may be a requirement from business customers who have important or critical applications; they expect to understand that these are critical files because this is a critical application. This cannot be done although we are with Trellix or McAfee solution.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Many websites require an SSL certificate because they sell stuff and want SSL. Cloudflare comes with an SSL certificate built in. It's automatic. You sign yourself up for Cloudflare, and an SSL certificate automatically protects your website. You don't necessarily need a certificate if you have a connection between your website and your host, the server, Cloudflare, and the host."
"It's a great product because it's scalable, has great coverage, and is mature with good defenses against DDoS attacks."
"The most valuable feature is its usability."
"It is a fast and secure DNS."
"Its ease of integration with Office 365 and the fact that it's a good product compared to what I had before"
"I rate its stability a ten out of ten."
"The tool is user-friendly."
"It is easier to configure and develop documentation to see how we have configured firewalls."
"Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention is a good product that provides deep fingerprinting capabilities in data exploring and data discovery, with excellent features for discovering data automatically through policies available in their portal, and they excel in data discovery and classification."

"After the configuration, it is very stable, and in the last two years, I haven't been faced with many issues or product-related challenges."
"It was mostly stable."
"Forcepoint enables you to clarify aspects of your data, including which data to protect for how long, what priority to assign to the data and the destinations. It's a comprehensive, dedicated solution. The interface is user-friendly and easy to manage. No other product will give you the same visibility and data classification functions as this tool."
"Forcepoint has been the leader in the space for many years and they, are very well established, and mature."
"The most valuable feature of Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention is the OCR."
"The scalability is fantastic. One of the things that I like about Forcepoint is that I can customize the solution to suit my objectives."
"The overall features of McAfee Total Protection for Data Loss Prevention are very good."
"The most valuable feature of McAfee Total Protection for Data Loss Prevention is data loss prevention."
"You can manage your compliance in line with legislation such as GDPR and POPIA."
"The product is largely stable."

"Offers some good protection features."
"The product provides us with an excellent, dependable solution to recommend to clients for their security needs."
"The ability to block all USBs from the McAfee portal has been great."

Cons

"Although I think it's quite good, it doesn't provide me with all the features I would expect to have if I were using Imperva."
"We have noticed multiple instances where Cloudflare falsely indicates that our servers are down, even when there is no actual load on them. This makes it challenging for us to identify the exact issue."
"There might be helpful if there was some web application firewall feature."
"The reporting can definitely be improved to offer a lot more explanation on something that may have happened or has actually happened."
"The timing aspect can lead to it being considered overpriced. This is a particular concern we have with Cloudflare, as they may struggle with accurately detecting the client."
"The solution could work at being less expensive. It costs a lot to use it."
"It should be easier to collect the logs with companies like Sumo. However, based on my discussions with the salespeople, I understand that's how they make their money. With the enterprise product, they want people doing those kinds of enterprise features to do the logging. They want them to pay a lot of money, and that's where I have an issue with them. That should be a default. You should be able to get the log no matter what. The logging should be universal."
"For large enterprises, the pricing is okay. However, the enterprise price for small projects is a bit high. A mid-tier pricing option would be beneficial."
"There is no support for the Bangla (Bengali) language, so we cannot use the Forcepoint technology for Bangla documents."
"The solution's interface is still not user-friendly for some customers. So, its interface can be better."
"The post-optical character recognization feature could be improved because it only really works on documents with some length (at least three paragraphs)."
"The tool needs to integrate data classification."
"If you are a macOS user, there are issues in the area of USB control."
"My opinion is that the dashboard could be improved and made more user-friendly. They do not enable a wide range of proper inquiries and we need to identify much of what we need on our own, like incident severity."
"The ease of deployment wasn't as flexible as Digital Guardian."
"It should integrate better with email."
"There needs to be support for blocking the sending of files by email because even if you block or remove an external disk, the files are not protected."
"We faced many issues with the solution's customer support, and it should be made customer-friendly and more responsive."
"The solution needs to be a one-stop protection shop. And yet, the DLP isn't strong. Anyone can break it quite easily."
"The user interface is messy and could be simplified."
"The support from McAfee Total Protection for Data Loss Prevention is good. However, if they provided 24 hours a day seven days a week support that would be a helpful addition."
"Our client is not very happy with the lack of support, the skills, and the effectiveness of the tool."
"Technical support doesn't really offer fast response times."
"The pricing is high for licensing and support and the GUI interface is good but could use updating."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of the solution is expensive."
"The product's pricing is cheap."
"It's a premium model. You can start at zero and work your way up to the enterprise model, which has a very high pricing level."
"There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fees."
"The cost primarily depends on the size of the organization."
"So far I use free tier and happy with it. You can subscribe to business package if needed."
"For Cloudflare, I recommend it heavily for small businesses with revenue under a couple of million dollars. Onboarding is easy, and they even have a free plan. This makes it simple for businesses in the $100,000-$500,000 range to try it out and see its value, allowing them to scale up their infrastructure as needed."
"When you compare Cloudflare DNS to other solutions, such as Akamai, the price is reasonable."
"The pricing and licensing are okay."
"The pricing is reasonable. That's why we went with Forcepoint. They were pretty competitive."

"The pricing is fine."
"They have to look at a different pricing structure for small to medium-sized enterprises because the cost is too high."
"They are flexible regarding the pricing and they have a good model for an OEM data classification tool... Forcepoint has been one of the most competitively priced products over the last few years."
"The price of the solution is expensive."
"Its pricing is quite low considering the features they are offering. As compared to other solutions, it is reasonable. They do have professional support. If we need professional support, then there will be additional costs."
"I'm paying the license for McAfee Total Protection yearly. It could be cheaper, but it's fine."
"The price is high for this type of product."
"McAfee Total Protection for Data Loss Prevention is expensive."
