Bot management tool enhances defense capabilities against DDoS and SQL injections
This solution is a bot management tool that provides extensive capabilities for Cloud Armor. It helps with DDoS defense and OWASP for SQL injections and cross-site scripting. We can rewrite these rule sets for DDoS protection. Integration with Cisco WAF is possible. It is scalable and integrates with Google's Kubernetes for easier scaling processes. It includes AI features like auditing and logging for troubleshooting.

Virtual patching has protected critical workloads and reduced downtime across financial environments
The best features Trend Micro Deep Security offers include virtual patching and comprehensive protection from multiple modules such as anti-malware, web reputation, firewall, integrity monitoring, and log inspection. It is very user-friendly, easy to understand, and helps us integrate multiple products with Deep Security. The user-friendly aspect and integration of Trend Micro Deep Security have helped my team significantly. For example, we can integrate our SIEM product, Active Directory, and multiple platforms. If an operations engineer cannot find something or forgets about a suspicious activity, we can identify the suspicious thing with the help of the SIEM. With Active Directory, we maintain our compliance, checking which server has Deep Security and which does not. By integrating these solutions, we effectively maintain compliance in our environment. Trend Micro Deep Security has positively impacted our organization because we have implemented it for multiple purposes, primarily for server security. It is installed on both multiple virtual and physical servers with minimal performance impact. It has been extremely stable throughout our usage, with no major disturbances.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We utilize Google Cloud Armor alongside our Cloud Load Balancer to safeguard against DDoS attacks. This setup acts as a local Layer 7 proxy provided by Google, allowing us to predict and mitigate DDoS threats effectively."
"This solution is a bot management tool that provides extensive capabilities for Cloud Armor."
"It helps with DDoS defense and OWASP for SQL injections and cross-site scripting."
"There is a degree of set it and forget it in regards to the actual endpoints and what you can do with the console, which is nice."
"If someone is looking to implement security solutions, including endpoint security, then I would suggest that person go for the whole Trend Micro suite, not just for the endpoint security."
"The integration options of Trend Micro Deep Security have been particularly valuable."
"Patch management is most valuable. The major selling point of Deep Security is that it is based on the cloud. Deep Security is for the servers and databases of data centers, and generally, for patch management, you have to shut down the machines, and then you have to restart them. So, they need shutdown time, which is a cost. Big enterprises don't want to shut down their database or their data center for any kind of patch. Deep Security creates a wall and downloads all patches. You install it on the cloud. So, it saves your server from any kind of intrusion or any kind of penetration, and whenever you get a chance or time, in six, eight, or nine months, you can physically download or install all those patches in one go. So, it saves you time. It also saves your shutdown time and keeps your data center safe."
"Trend Micro Deep Security has positively impacted my organization by being a mature tool and a stable platform, and its virtual patching capability is very strong, with good visibility and reporting features that I find beneficial."
"For the last four or five years we have not had any problems."
"If you need a versatile solution that covers many different needs or requirements, Trend Micro Deep Security is very good."
"It met all our requirements, and Trend Micro provided us with a lot of help getting it set up."

Cons

"There are some discrepancies within billing, which makes the product average."
"I believe Google Cloud Armor can benefit from enhancements of AI and automation."
"Trend Micro Deep Security requires us to depend on a third-party tool to block hashes, so we need add-on features to block hashes in Trend Micro Deep Security itself without depending on a third-party tool such as hash push."
"There should be signature-based advanced and responsive features."
"Trend Micro Deep Security security and scalability could be improved."
"What this product lacks at this stage is the ability to have automated workbooks to do the response. At this stage, the response is more manual, and it is not automated. If there is a response functionality in Deep Security, similar to what we have in EDR these days, to automatically respond to some of the threats, it would be cool. So, we'd like to have an automated response. There should be a response functionality."
"There could be a centralized management server to oversee all platform functionalities."
"The problem with this solution is that if you go on large sites you have to have an external database, which would increase the cost."
"There were cases when we got virtual analyzer or CMC errors. We got false-positive malware notifications, but we couldn't trace them."
"I would like to see XDR features and endpoint sensors become available."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I would rate the pricing of Google Cloud Armor around 7 on a scale of 10. As for the licensing costs, I'm not directly involved in billing, so I don't have specific details on that aspect. We have a partner agreement with Google, which gives us a discounted price for using Cloud Armor."
"From a pricing perspective, I would say the product is economical...The payments are made on a yearly basis towards the licensing of the solution."
"Licensing fees are paid yearly."
"If you want to scale the solution you will have to adjust the license."
"It is expensive but reasonable compared to other products by Trend Micro."
"Purchasing this solution through the AWS Marketplace was secure and quick. AWS has good prices for a good product."
"The price of Trend Micro Deep Security could be less expensive."
"We are paying approximately $50,000 each month, it's definitely expensive."
"We need to make yearly payments for the solution's licensing. There are different pricing models, like subscription-based and perpetual."
