Delivers efficiency and agility with USB control limitations
One area where we lag is that, since we use everything from Heimdal, including XDR and other features, we also use the privilege manager feature called Elevation. What we lack is granular USB control. We have an issue where we can only switch USB on or off. I want to whitelist specific devices in the network, which I currently cannot do.
Suwandhi Suraweera - PeerSpot reviewer
Offers advanced filtering features and benefits from improved licensing and performance
There is a licensing issue with Intercept X Endpoint. Their licenses are user-based. Most of our customers use per device licenses, and they need per device licenses because they use one PC for multiple accounts. This creates a problem. There was one customer who complained about the slowness of PCs using Intercept X Endpoint. They use minor performance PCs, which causes their PCs to become slow.

Cons

"What we lack is granular USB control. We have an issue where we can only switch USB on or off."
"What we lack is granular USB control."
"The price of this solution can be improved."
"We are considering switching from this solution as a result of the closer integration needed between the firewall systems and the EDR."
"Intercept X needs more reporting and device management features, so I can get messages from PCs that let me know if I need to do something with them."
"Pricing is high."
"They need to focus on their SLA or technical support. They also need to focus on their UI. They should also improve their content filtering tool and update it so that correct categories are there. Sometimes, when I want to block an online gaming website, it is not shown under the correct category. It is shown under another category. They need to review their content filtering tool on a bi-weekly or monthly basis and update the sites and categories. This will be really helpful for them."
"There is a licensing issue with Intercept X Endpoint; these licenses are user-based, and most of our customers require per-device licenses because they use one PC for multiple accounts, which presents a problem."
"Stability-wise, we had issues with some clients which had to be dealt with manually. The issue was with that installation part."
"It's a bit heavy on the computers. So once you install it, the computer slows down. It is a resource-intensive solution."
