Centralized features have simplified deployment and improved day-to-day network management
One of the best features of HPE Wireless WAN is Wi-Fi Direct, as it provides dual-band frequency and helps to connect Bluetooth with IoT devices. I am comfortable with this feature and find it beneficial for connectivity. I use centralized management features such as WLC. They have improved operational efficiency significantly. It is one of the best tools we have for centralized management because it is easy to manage, manually delete, and create sites. This makes it easy to implement policies across the network. I see measurable benefits from this centralized solution, which is quite easy to handle as people are comfortable managing the tool. Users do not need hardcore technical expertise to operate it on a day-to-day basis, making it quite comfortable.

Reliable Wi-Fi deployment handles extreme conditions and reduces maintenance
The only bad downside to Ruckus Wireless WAN is that the guest network is poorly conceived. This is a known issue. There are ways to make the guest network work reliably, but not as promised. That's the only downside to Ruckus Wireless WAN access points - they have a weak guest system and guest portal, but everything else is the best of the best. If I did not have access to Ruckus Wireless WAN support, I think I would have failed. One downside they have now is that you no longer have access to the support folks without a contract. That has changed over many years. That would be really unfortunate because I remember struggling. The company was very hungry at that point and they were very willing to help. Now support requires a contract. That comes with all growing companies.

"I like their features, such as reliability and high availability."
"The WiFi and high scalability are the most valuable features."
"HPE Wireless offers easy approval due to its budget-friendly pricing, is scalable and user-friendly for administrators, has commendable stability with no issues in almost two years of use, and its ease of cloud-based management is a standout advantage."
"Setting up the solution initially is very easy."
"This is a product that I would recommend because of its quick and easy setup."
"The reliability is good."
"The solution is easy to use."
"Scalability is a valuable feature."
"I made some comparisons with other competitors and I found that Ruckus was number one in regards to stability."
"As a technical person, I find that Ruckus is one of the most stable products I have experienced."
"There are numerous features, but what I like about Ruckus is that they have a good coverage range due to their BeamFlex technique."
"The performance of this solution is amazing in terms of radiofrequency technology."
"The feature I like most, is the product activity."
"The solution is suitable for many types of environments, such as small businesses."
"The most valuable feature is the good coverage of about 60 meters."

Cons

"Integration might be improved, particularly with a single sign-on for Active Directory."
"Mostly, I face problems with client connectivity and some devices, like Android."
"HPE Wireless WAN could provide better access points and better pricing."
"Stability could be improved, and technical support needs to be faster."
"The tool must warn the management about unwanted traffic."
"Technical support could be improved. They could respond a bit faster."
"The HPE Wireless dashboard could be more user-friendly."
"The solution works smoothly unless more than twenty users connect to a single access point, at which point it becomes overloaded."
"Physically, Ruckus Wireless WAN is easy to set up, but when it comes to the configuration and the top, it's quite challenging."
"The product could benefit from features like Cisco's, such as improved zoning and analytics tools."
"User access control is done through a third-party, RADIUS, which is not an easy system for IT professionals to use."
"The documentation they do have is very difficult to understand. There should be some scenarios, deployments, complications, or techniques to follow. They are inadequate in that regard, and the documentation needs to be greatly improved."
"Pricing is an area for improvement. The devices are relatively expensive."
"In comparison to Cambium, I find Cambium to be more robust in terms of performance."
"The last thing that needs to improve, is to have direct contact with a support engineer if one has technical issues."
"Really, it's just about centralizing manageability across multiple sites, but like I said, that's me commenting on the old product that we've got. I know they've addressed that now with cloud controllers, but that would've been my main thing."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of HPE Wireless WAN is high."
"There is a license for this solution and the license is normally paid annually but this depends on the contract."
"The solution is quite expensive. You have to pay for every node and it can get expensive fast, it is approximately £3,000 per month."
"I find the price to be reasonable."
"We don't pay a licensing fee, we purchased the product."
"Price wise, it is on the medium end of the scale. It could be lower."
"Customers pay for HPE Wireless WAN based on the contract. It's usually paid yearly. There's an additional cost, particularly for the hardware."
"The license cost of the product falls under the category of a moderately priced tool."
"Here in India, Ruckus is chosen often because it is priced low."
"The cost of licensing varies."
"In terms of the license of Ruckus Wireless WAN being cheap or expensive, it would differ based on your country. As I'm living in Turkey, it's expensive, so far. There is a big challenge about the chip crisis or the silicon crisis lately, and all vendors are fighting, so not enough equipment could be sold and the vendors must earn money, so it's very fair for vendors to push software and licensing to keep working and earning, so it's hard to answer a question on how cheap or expensive the license is for the solution."
"The product is available at a very good price, but it is not cheap compared to tools like Unifi. I believe it is a very good product for the price that it is offered to users."
"It is less expensive than Aruba and Cisco."
"We have to pay annually for the cloud licenses, so I think it'll be about 5,000 pounds a year moving forwards."
"The product has competitive pricing."
"This product is worth the money that is spent on licensing fees."
