Excellent for budgeting and forecasting, but long-term it will no longer be developed or supported
The fact that in a few years' time it is no longer going to be supported is a big concern. Therefore, I would advise against Hubble. Additionally, I think we underestimated the time for deployment, we thought it would be a few months and it took much longer than expected because the consultants didn't understand our process in detail before committing to the process. On a scale of one to ten, I would give Hubble a seven.

Empower financial planning with user-friendly and robust features
The best features of Oracle Hyperion revolve around their cloud-based technology, which is gradually moving to cloud solutions such as EPMCSG, while Anaplan uses two engines for calculations, the classic engine and the Essbase engine. Anaplan allows for quick module changes, where adjustments in one module reflect throughout the user experience. In contrast, Oracle Hyperion relies on Essbase as a database with calculation scripts and business rules, and it incorporates Smart View technology for Excel connections, providing a familiar interface for users. Oracle Hyperion is fundamentally a good technology and does not require significant improvements compared to other technologies because it is user-friendly and offers several advantages in financial reporting and consolidation. However, I have observed that Anaplan has built-in UX pages for report preparation, unlike Oracle Hyperion, which often relies on third-party tools such as Hyperion Financial Reporting and Power BI for reporting.

Pros

"The most valuable features are both its budgeting and forecasting."
"The most valuable features are both its budgeting and forecasting."
"Being able to create calculations, hierarchies, aging buckets, etc. has reduced the Excel reports we used to have."
"Reporting was dramatically improved."
"We have saved hours of Excel work producing the same results, which Hubble gives in minutes."
"Hubble will truly blow you away once you get to know the product and the people behind it."
"Hyperion is one of the best tools in the world; we can do planning and forecasting, store and draw large amounts of data in multiple combinations, integrate with any system to pull data from SAP or SQL Server, and design our own role files to control how we pull file data and store it in our database."
"Hyperion tools are very useful in finance, with data relationship management that is good for storing hierarchical information and can be used for data enhancement and modeling, offering many features that assist other parts of the organization as well."
"The most valuable features are those associated with modules and SP, IT in this space, planning, HFM, and PME."
"We're able to support fifteen to twenty countries globally from Cincinnati, and they can do all their consolidation on our one HFM application."
"It has reduced the amount of paperwork as multiple people can work on a single form, centralize formula creation window (only one person/team is responsible for creating it), It is also possible to maintain history for X number of years, and compare budgets from previous years through just one form and the process of workflow management."
"We are very happy with the product and we are beginning to move into OneStream as well."
"The fact that Hyperion is a consistent system without any big issues is huge for our users to make decisions based on financial results."
"This solution provides a more structured methodology for doing analysis than a tool like Excel, creating a central database that keeps all information in one place and allowing 200 spreadsheets to be replaced by one multidimensional repository."

Cons

"The only thing I may add is that it can get a little pricey when you add annual maintenance."
"Exporting to Excel takes a lot of time when broken into sheets/files."
"The fact that in a few years' time it is no longer going to be supported is a big concern. Therefore, I would advise against Hubble."
"We have been advised by the owners that the budgeting tool is no longer going to be supported with future development, so my recommendation would be for them to continue to invest in development. Otherwise, at some point we will have to migrate to another technology."
"When exporting to Excel, it is values only."
"The EPM suite, as its capabilities increase, requires upgrading your servers and keeping up with the technology."
"Configuration is a little complex, it's not very easy. The solution is integrated with Essbase and there are not many users of the Essbase database. If they can provide different modules for each subject area, like supply chain, for inventory forecasting or for order management forecasting, it would make each subject area easier to manage."
"The forecasting of values could be simplified in this solution."
"Sometimes Oracle Hyperion is slow when there are a lot of users using it. However, we can have up to approximately 300 users using it."
"Occasionally, though, we get issues such as process hangs or something similar, although they're usually known bugs the fixes for which we can find in Oracle support fairly easily."
"Oracle should have provided better documentation, and should update it more often."
"Oracle support has a lot of room for improvement. Our requests for service, bug fixes, and new features take a long time."
"I would not recommend implementing FDM as it is falling away and will not be supported in the near future."
